Hello everyone!! Great posts and Great Minds too :) Haven't posted for long while. I am glad we have another trial that has lots twist and turns unfortunately Michelle lost her life because of those twists/turns from a very dangerous man.

It is so amazing the excellence of these witnesses in comparison to other high profile cases.. uhmmm.. Too bad those witnesses couldn't have done better for justice to the victim and victim's families.

Wondering out loud, I get the feeling Doug suspected something very wrong with the scene. I don't know if the women thought so; however, Doug was sure puzzled. This isn't adding up at all.

The mucus could have been the foamy drainage people get when they overdose on drugs. I don't know why the no. 1 medical examiner didn't see that.

My hearts goes out to those children.. to find out their father is nothing but a psychopathic killer.

So... was he going to pretend to die so that he didn't have to keep the younger children?

I'm so confused why he would say he was dying?

There are many reasons. He wanted sympathy from everyone, he wanted to make sure to give the impression to everyone that he was too weak to lift Michele out of the bathtub (which is why he was sending his daughter out for neighbors to assist him). Sometimes when people like him commit crimes like fraud and identify theft, they just can't help themselves from telling lies.

I wish the lab report on the toxicity screen would be released. I guess Utah does not release any reports/pictures like Arizona did on the Travis Alexander case.

BBM agreed. And even more so to be the ones driving the prosecution. It must be heart wrenching.

He was covering his many trips out of town to be with his mistress. If someone is leaving town going for treatments for a terminal illness, he is not likely to be questioned much, in addition to elliciting sympathy. What a jerk. I think we are just discovering the tip of the iceberg with DR MACNEILL. feel sorry for the neighbor, having to go over detail after detail ....it is agony. The defense attorney, ever grinning and smiling, trying to trip her up....i cannot stand him.:moo:

Kristi seems so upset, shaking, trying to keep her composure. I feel for her.

Well I finally got sucked into this trial! I have read the thread and some of the linked articles. I am now watching the 20/20 thing during court's lunch break. Now tonight I will have to watch yesterday's court on Youtube. Is yesterday the only full day I need to catch up on?

Yes, dear, and recall how the neighbor said Michelle's color was like pale green???? I have seen this in people who have been without oxygen, even briefly, I just wonder if she was already gone? He would not have left her at the house alone if she was able to call for help.

My .02 is that she was way gone, and for a few. No way the defendant was going to ask the daughter to go get help if there was any chance of her surviving his attack. Now way Jose.

Pretty much. You might look into ABC TV's broadcast called LIFE OF LIES, which rolled out in July of 2011, I believe. It really goes into all of the behind the scenes stuff that led to the arrest. Dr. MacNeill has a brilliant mind, unfortunately it's twisted. You GOTTA see that broadcast.:seeya:

Opening statements were good. My style. No theatrics or emotional.

He is classic sociopath. SCARY. Scarier than any fake halloween story.
