Virginia State Police will await the medical examiner confirming identity but this is going to be Amy.
Human remains found in Mecklenburg, along with truck in Cumberland case involving missing woman
Human remains — along with a stolen truck that police believe was driven by a suspect in a Cumberland County homicide and a woman's disappearance — were found in Mecklenburg County on Thursday morning, according to Virginia State Police.
Police said earlier this week that they were looking for Cumberland resident Amy Renee Fabian, 43, in Meckleburg and South Hill. She had not been seen since a man was found dead in her home early last Friday.
The remains and the truck were shortly before 11 a.m. in a wooded area off state Route 138, less than a mile from U.S. 1, state police said in a news release Thursday night.
