Interesting to call this "two locations" considering South Hill is a town within Mecklenburg County. Unfortunately this is not a small location by any means. I was driving through Mecklenburg within the last 6 months and made a comment about how easy it would be to hide a body in these southern Virginia counties- guess I've been spending too much time on this site- but there is so much uninhabited land, acres upon acres of trees, tons of quiet dark back roads. It'd be easy to hide something you wouldn't want found there. I really hope that Knisley starts talking. I'm beginning to think that's the only way she will be found.

Police narrow search for Cumberland woman; suspect in slaying at her home briefly escapes custody

On Monday, the suspect, George W. Knisley IV, 41, briefly escaped custody from the Wake County Justice Center in Raleigh, N.C., as he was being transferred to another facility to face additional charges. Handcuffed, Knisley pushed down a sheriff’s deputy and ran about a block and a half before a “good Samaritan” grabbed and held him for pursuing deputies, a Wake County sheriff’s spokesman said.

As he was being led to a patrol car, Knisley admitted “he was a murderer and didn’t want to live any longer,” said the spokesman, Eric Curry.​

Critically missing adult alert canceled, search continues for Amy Fabian

A 43-year-old woman remains missing, but the critically missing adult alert issued by Virginia State Police has expired.

State police say the alert has a 12-hour window and that window was initially extended at the request of the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.

State police announced Tuesday that based on investigative leads developed over the holiday weekend, search efforts for Amy Renee Fabian, 43, are now concentrating in the area of South Hill and Mecklenburg County.

One of two reasons that I can think of... take them with you out of spite. Or, once they realized what they have done, do not want to die in prison, so go out some other way. Either way, I completely agree, SELFISH!
I have worked with many killers/murderers over the years. Never did I see one of them shed a tear for their victims. For themselves, yes.

I can tell you I know Amy lives in MD, she did buy some property in Cumberland VA, but it did not have a livable home on it. She comes down from MD, to visit her mother who lives in the area. The home she was at, and where the murder took place was not her home. That doesn't matter, but just a correction to the facts. Her husband died in an accident a couple years ago, I have seen her with Kinsley in the area in the past year. Her MD address is probably: 2067 Jasontown Rd, Westminster, MD 21158. I don't know why the news has not mentioned her children, I am not sure how many she has, but I think maybe 2 boys. Maybe in custody of her deceased husbands family, as she was fleeing MD to get away from Kinsley. Seems it wouldn't be that hard to find the truck, as stated earlier, it can't be to far from where he hijacked the car. also what was he driving when he was captured, that was never mentioned. My guess is he has confessed to killing her too, but that won't be reported until they have a body.

Human remains — along with a stolen truck that police believe was driven by a suspect in a Cumberland County homicide and a woman's disappearance — were found in Mecklenburg County on Thursday morning, according to Virginia State Police.

Police said earlier this week that they were looking for Cumberland resident Amy Renee Fabian, 43, in Meckleburg and South Hill. She had not been seen since a man was found dead in her home early last Friday.​

The remains and the truck were shortly before 11 a.m. in a wooded area off state Route 138, less than a mile from U.S. 1, state police said in a news release Thursday night.​

The one in her photos with the beard is the killer.

It hasn't been stated what the relationship was between Amy and Matthew Broyles (the guy murdered in the house). Going through his FB there are no photos of him with Amy nor any mention of her, friends, likes, etc.

Also, a search of Ms. Fabian's former addresses show she has lived in Carroll County, MD where Knisley is from. Seems likely they knew each other, IMOO.

The suspect is in fact the guy with the beard, he is the one in custody. The man who died was a friend of hers. Not sure if they were in a relationship, or if it was just someone she wanted to help protect her for fear of what may happen.
