In a letter to the judge presiding over the case, Bigsby’s lawyer asked the judge to separate the child abuse and neglect charges from the murder charges. She stated that these charges “are two separate cases, and they should be treated as such.”

Bigsby is due back in court on Aug. 25 for another competency hearing. His lawyer stated in the letter she hopes to start the abuse and neglect trial by the end of October and asks for the murder trial to take place early 2024.

Wonder how Matheny-Willard's search for Codi is going? Probably putting in about as much effort into that search as Cory's family is in searching for those photos that "prove" he was alive in September, er no October, er um, December. MOO

Court this week , I still have a hard time with his cheap bail on a murder charge ,Codi is worth more then that. And if he's so mentally incompetent was is he out and not in a hospital. Still really wish he'd answer the question where's Codi? I hope the neglect charges give him a hell of alot of time jmvho .

Court for Mr bigsby @1 I wonder what stories we hear today,I hope the judge doesn't seperate the charges or if they do that Cory gets the max sentence for abuse.i hope one day there will be justice for Codi but I dunno , I've followed this one from the beginning but considering how long it took to lay charges about Codi and the low flipping bail on a murder charge makes me wonder. I guess today's hearing was withdrawn . I guess his lawyer dropped the competency eval .hopefully they get on with the trial. Not showing next court date yet .so many delays by Cory and his lawyer .I wonder what's next sighhh jmoo . I guess the charges got separated the trial seems to be the murder charges.. all Cory has to do is tell where Codi is and his mental health will improve .jmoo

I don't know why but I suspect we won't see Cory make it to trial. He strikes me as the type who might unalive himself before having to face trial or what he has done.

Hey @tlcya or @PommyMommy can you see anything msm posted about court people are saying he cut a plea on abuse cases and just the murders going to trial. I'm Canadian and can't see the dang news on this. Good grief I thought it was just Canadian content we couldn't see but apparently some usa news gets caught in this .

I can get this part not a problem I've been following and posting for this one since the beginning but I'm Canadian and we aren't getting alot of news that's done threw msm in FB or social media.and right now there's chatter of a possible plea with the child abuse and that just the murders going to trial . I can not verify The Virginia Vibe. It's not coming up in Google. Not sure of the source. I did see news now 13.

Also, don't know the date.

But according to the VA Court System the trial date and information I sent is accurate. It's s a state website.

I can't find any MSM reference to a plea deal in the works on the abuse charges.
