Yes, that's the photo from the COG link. I even think I see a large freckle on the woman's nose (but it's hard to tell with a grainy black and white photo). Her face is a bit fuller than Elizabeth's face but that could easily be accounted for by her having 3 children. Is it possible for Elizabeth to have had 3 children by 1975? I think it so. Plus there is not a date and no location on where the photo was taken so the photo could be from 1978 in South Africa for all we know. If anyone is in communication with her family please send them this photo to look into.

Yes, when you have family going back 150+ years, you see the names a lot. Near my great grannies farm every mailbox has one of three last names....for miles.

Hey, what can I say....we like this good old rich Virginia dirt and don't move far. Some of the riches farmland in the country, per Clark the explorer. He called southern Virginia the garden of Eden, in his writing.

    Moo...

Her last trip home was summer if 1972. She didn't bring any children with her.

Her last letter says I am not alone.

If it helps, the second image comparison, the woman is with a man who resembles the man in the photo Gardener found on the link inititally, and they have one infant. I believe a girl, under a year.

I’ve only had the chance to go through the 1970 Andrew Lewis High School yearbook, but here are a few new photos (I’m sharing from my cell phone and will get better images off of my desktop when I have a chance). Maybe these will help in comparing to photos from the link posted upthread ;)

There are so many photos available of Elizabeth!

ETA: I’m also adding the photos and additional letters to the Drive folder

I know. I was thinking about how she wrote a couple times about having an announcement. Did we ever figure out what those announcements were? Would timing of the announcements fit with the perceived ages of those children? They all look to be between 2 and 5 years old me. A baby could have been left somewhere with the father. Having children waiting for her would be a strong draw for Elizabeth to return to the cult. Could she have kept children a secret out of fear of disappointing her family? Or out of fear of the cult if she was not supposed to be visiting her family in Virginia? IDK...

    MOO.

3 children by 1975 could be explained by a set of twins close in age to a single birth. Easy.

The father of children would absolutely "Hit the roof" if he thought the FBI might disrupt his cult AND his biological family....

Ok.I will delete. I agree about the nose, but angles sometimes? There is something in the expression.

I will delete both sets since Simply Southern knows where to direct her brother from your link.

Yes she does. Good point BOH. One thing I have noticed from following many cold cases is that a person's eyebrow shape almost never changes. When we find out who an unidentified person finally is and photos from their childhood are posted we almost always can recognize them immediately from their eyebrows-- even baby photos! There may be some exceptions to that but I have started looking at the eyebrows first as a marker to compare. MOO.
