<snip> The woman's vehicle was found parked and idling near the cafe, officers said. Police said Dilts may have been with her dog, Guap, a brown and white Sheltie. Officers said Dilts is 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds. <snip>

"700 block of Bainbridge St"

She ordered & paid for her order, but did she pick it up?
What's the location of the coffe shop?

Does it have a back door, maybe she went out the
rear of the business and met someone in a car to
take something, had a bad reaction and she got
driven away in a car?

Maybe she walked away from the business to meet
someone, what's the reputation of the blocks of flats
to the northwest, and the area generally?

Maybe she walked away from the coffee shop to use
an ATM or meet someone nearby, there's some wooded
areas off to the west & southwest (that looks to be as
thickly growing as a jungle!), could she be in there?

Minor point, is the dog microchipped, could it be
sitting in some dog pound in VA after being collected
as an assumed stray dog?

Not Sure if I am allowed to post yet. Once I am verified I can give you the answers to most of questions listed above.

Thankyou. Perhaps you will be able to comment on
whether there seems to be some uncertainty as to
whether she was last seen at that coffee shop on
the 700 block of Bainbridge St, or about the 900 block
of West 49th St (which mainly seems to be houses).

That would seem to be important, because if she
was in fact not seen at that coffee shop, it raises
the question - could someoneelse have driven her car
& parked it at the coffee shop, deliberately left it
idling
in the hope it would be stolen and thereby
possibly hoping to leave a false trail for the police to
investigate, in regard to the car & her movements?
Of course, the car apparently ran out of fuel, so
no thief stole the car from about the coffee shop
(although it is possible a thief might have later
[night] tried to steal the car from about the coffee
shop but couldn't get it started after it had
exhausted its fuel).

P.S. if her dog can be found at a VA dog pound,
the dog catcher might be able to indicate where
the dog was found, which might help police in the
future in their ongoing investigations as to where
she was - last.

She was last seen in the coffee shop 700 bainbridge street. Guapo is chipped and dog shelters have been contacted.

It was very strange. Jeri refuses to answer questions on how she ended up in Mexico City without her passport or transportation. We have been asked by my Brother and sister -in-law to respect their privacy

what a strange sequence of events...
