Bumping for Leyla!
"The documents do not say whether lab testing has determined to whom the blood belonged, or even whether it was human blood. Chesterfield police declined to comment Monday."

I agree it's frustrating. It seems so incredibly obvious what happened, or at least who was responsible, that it makes me feel that whether a victim's case gets solved and whether anyone is ever brought to justice is a game of chance -- relating as much to the resources and level of sophistication of local law enforcement as it does the circumstance of your disappearance and level of cunning of the perpetrator.
On another note, my husband knew her casually. He thought she was smart, very serious and ambitious, and very nice (and he wouldn't say it to me, so I'll say it for him: she was also very attractive). So much going for her. The side of her that had a (married?) senior executive over for dinner at her house and dated some other random, uneducated, violent man was a total and complete shock to my husband. I think it's sad that she was lonely enough to see either of those men even if the outcome hadn't been her disappearance; she deserved so much better.
In a sign that family members of missing Altria research director Leyla Namiranian have fading hopes that she will be found alive, the Midlothian womans possessions were sold at auction last week and her house has been put up for sale.

Recently Namiranians belongings were sold at an estate sale. When a buyer purchased items, he noticed a mans jacket with a stain on it and called police. Police detectives sent it to the state crime lab for experts to analyze the stain.
Police identified two persons of interest in the case. One, is a man who told police he was dating Namiranian at the time of her disappearance. CBS 6 has chosen not to reveal his name, but has learned he was convicted in 1990 of brutally stabbing a woman and assaulting her daughter.
