This is a Black/African American male aged 25-40 who was found suspended over a ravine November 23, 2011. A sheet had been tied to a tree. The police got an anonymous tip of the location. Time of death is 2011, he was decomposing.

    height: 69 inches
    weight: 181 pounds
    dreadlocks
    mustache, goatee
1 1/4" oblique healed scar on right forehead, 2" oblique healed scar on right lateral chest, 1" horizontal scar on left dorsal forearm, 1/4" horizontal healed scar on left lower abdomen quadrant. Incision with sutures on left wrist.
    Has had an appendectomy.
Clothing: black long-sleeve shirt, a pair of blue jeans, black belt, black tank top, green underwear, and white socks, black boots
Other: four black hair bands, fifteen cents in change, and a black cigarette lighter

His teeth are an easy ruleout for most MP's, he had all 32 teeth present in their natural state.

This missing person from Virginia had dreadlocks but he had been missing since 2008 and has tattoos that are not mentioned in the UID description, so I don't suppose it could be him. If they can tell the UID has scars they would surely be able to tell if he has tattoos, wouldn't they?

If he was decomposing, would tattoos be less visible than scars?

Last seen in Washington, DC on February 19, 2009. This person may have last been seen with short hair, but was known to grow his hair long so the possibility of dreads is there. The height is 69-70 inches and weight is listed at 170 pounds, so a little low there. Other inconsistencies include tattoos present and he may have previously fractured or broken an ankle - no mention of an appendectomy, either.

Left a group home in Cleveland, OH on December 31, 2010. His height and weight are both estimated, but include the height and weight of the UID. The image looks like dreads. No note on surgeries or tattoos.

The same thought came to me Gardenlady. He really took good care of his teeth. This is sad!

I assumed suicide, especially when combined with "Incision with sutures on left wrist." which I took to be a recently previous attempt.

I looked high and low and can't find a media release about him being identified, which doesn't surprise me if this was a suicide. :(
