Quoting myself for reference...brainstorming--so, here we go, what about halfway between home and VB. Wonder what that looks like on a map. JMO.

Thank you, I missed that one! Very important. Wonder if a struggle happened in her car first?

The green river killer (Gary Ridgeway) and Ted Bundy would leave their victims in various secluded areas. Gary Ridgeway preyed on prostitutes from in town and left their bodies along the green river which is where the name comes from.

Usually during hunting season bodies are found out in the woods. That's pretty common. The water is another popular spot.

Probably keeps small tokens. Doubt he revisits, unless it is in a mud ride with friends! But doubt he goes back on his own for after the fact stuff, especially since he knows he is being watched since SC's investigation.

ETA: Then again, being under investigation may heighten the thrill of returning unnoticed. Hmmm.........................

MPO, VA Beach, Wilminton, NC, Myrtle Beach are all prime targets for sexploitation and human trafficking. These criminals prey on vulnerable teens and these creeps start out acting like generous boyfriends. They take the girls, often with other slightly older girls, to places they want to go, they buy them gifts, clothes, drinks and oftentimes drugs. Then they drop the bomb. They tell the girls they need to go to work for them because they are told they owe the creeps repayment. At first it might just be schmoozin' men in bars (they call it hosting parties), then stripping at private parties, then escorting and finally full-on prostitution.

Okay, again quoting myself for reference, sorry if this is obnoxious, lol.

    Here is a map:

I see some places that interest me upon a cursory glance. These include:

Rappahannock River, Holliday State Park, Bear Creek State Park.

There also appears to be some other park areas up there by the Potomac (Caledon and Westmoreland State Parks)...

WAIT! There's a place called "Mechanicsville" smack dab in the middle....I know, its a stretch, lol.

If RAT is responsible for both Samantha Clarke and Alexis Murphy he goes to a lot of trouble to cover up their bodies and not leave them somewhere random where they will be found quickly. That implies a personal relationship or knowing the victim. In other cases where the abductions and murder were random when the predator has no connection to the victim they don't go to as much trouble to hide the body.

    Wow, thank you!

So, this fits with 2 things that I am brainstorming on: James River area and Halfway to VB.
Richmond appears to be smack dab in the middle.

The serial killer we had here was using the back part of a property where he and his parents had lived when he was a "tween." It was a long way from his current address but only about 15 miles from where he was picking up prostitutes. After the farm location was discovered, he left the bodies in isolated spots beside rural roads.

He probably wasn't a serial killer per se; he liked rough sex and strangling, and sometimes the woman didn't survive. He didn't care either way. They caught him after two different women who did survive gave the same description. He was WAY younger than the profilers expected, probably only 17 or 18 for the first victim.

Ok, quoting myself for reference again:

I know in the satellite pics of RAT's home it was difficult to see much due to the brush. Did he have a garage at this location? Just wondering, bc if not, he most definitely might have a man cave somewhere (I use the terms man and man cave loosely, ugh).

I think he watched Alexis for a while, and we know he had personal connection to SC. So you have something there.

Hiding bodies is easy in that area though. It really is mostly woods. Unlike anywhere else in the U.S. it is loads of land with woods and not houses for long stretches. Should be preserved really.

I've been wondering if they found anything of interest in that car like her hair in the trunk. I think he used her own car to dispose of her then left it at the cinema. That is why I think they should base any searches in areas near the cinema. Secluded areas with easy interstate access back to the cinemas for instance.

    Here is my latest map

    Victim Map3.jpg

No idea if any of them are linked. There are things to link them all, but not the same things in each case. And honestly the only real link between SAC and AM is RAT himself.

Excellent, thank you. So, I guess this leads back to RAT's background thread. All known family residences, where he was as a kid, property records, etc., where he was in between his incarcerations, where he went to school....ugh, I hate giving this guy so much thought and attention; that is probably exactly what he feeds on.

Gentle reminder all regarding facebook, twitter, and social media you can link but do not copy and paste. Paraphrasing and directing members to a particular post is fine.
