Remember that the Manson Family of cold blooded killers included Leslie Van Houghten, who willingly and gleefully joined in stabbing Rosemary LaBianca many times. She showed no sympathy or remorse and laughed about it during her trial.
Initially sentenced to death, it was later commuted to Life in Prison where she has been since 1969. She has come up for parole several time in the past years and each time it was denied. This year she was recommended for parole by the Parole Board but California Governor Gavin Newsome refused to release her. A court has ruled to overturn the Governor's denial of parole, andnow an appeal may take it to a higher court.
