Identified! WA - Clark Co., Fem Skeletal Remains, near Fly Creek, Feb'80 - Sandy Morden

Very little to go on, but side by sides of FCJD and TKD: Fly Creek Jane Doe.pngTeresa Davis.jpg.

Teresa Davis does look fairly similar to my eye.

Following I90 to Seattle and then I5 south is a common route, especially for hitchhikers, so she could have passed through Washington on her way. The place where the remains were found are not far off I-5.

I'm unsure whether to submit Donna Larrabee from Rapid City, South Dakota. She fits the age estimation (assuming the victim died around 1978). The circumstances of Donna's disappearance indicate she was headed to California (she did not arrive) but I can't find any indication she could have gone to Washington.

IMO this is a strong potential match that you should submit. It looks like her case was only recently added to NamUs and her DNA is still being processed so it might take a while to hear back.

Fly Creek Jane Doe has been unidentified for 38 years today.

Has anyone considered a possibility that this Jane Doe may have been a victim of the Green River Killer Gary Ridgway? Fly Creek to King County, WA is only 3 hours away. I am also noticing that Larrabee and an earlier mentioned MP named Tara Cossey were never added to the exclusion list. Were they ever submitted to NamUs, Clark County Sheriffs or NCMEC?

Larrabee was only added to Namus late last year and they're still working on identifiers for her, so it will likely be some time before we hear about her.

I am driving to Amboy, WA this afternoon to look at the area and take photos for the group. Also will find the possible accurate area where FCJD was found. Will keep everyone posted.

I just finished surveying the area. I I am on my way back home, so I will post some photos and links to videos tonight. I will also give everyone my take on what I found.

Hey Everyone,

Here are some photos I took during the survey of the Fly Creek area where Clark County Jane Doe was found. I discovered that this Fly Creek also connects to the Lewis River at Gifford Pinchot National Forest. I also believe that the bridge I found is the one where Jamie Grissim's belongings were found. Nonetheless, here are some photos I took of said area:

Healy Road, Amboy, WA: This road is very desolate and quiet. It leads to the NF Road where the Fly Creek is located. Healy Rd. Becomes the NF Road after crossing Blevins Rd. The only place to get necessities are at a corner store on the corner of Healy and WA Route 509.

I parked at this location the day of the survey. It is Gifford Pinchot NF, Clark County, WA. This is the zone where the remains were found. Straight ahead is a bridge, perhaps the same bridge Jamie Grissim's belongings were found.

The bridge on Healy Rd's NF part. It goes over the Lewis River and is next to the Fly Creek. I believe this is where Jamie Grissim's belongings were found.

This is where the Lewis River (horizontal) and Fly Creek meet. The greenery to the right is a dry camping spot where among the brushes, Fly Creek Jane Doe may have been found, as well as on the left.

Entry way to the dry camping spot next to the Fly Creek. Possibility this was the route where Jane Doe was taken to be disposed of.

The Fly Creek! The greenery shown is a possibly location where Fly Creek Jane Doe may have been found. This creek is well known for gold-panning according to a local in the area. It also has two dry camping spots in this area as well where I was standing.

A Google Maps depiction of where Healy Road becomes NF Road.

I created this map above so that everyone knows my route. As soon as I got onto the NF road, there was heaving logging taking place at the split where the road to the right closes. It is private property owned by Weyerhauser (I think I spelled that right). The Green indicates the road I took to get to where I found Fly Creek. For a while I thought I got myself lost! Then as I was about to turn around I saw on my map Fly Creek. I went to the location, where I circled on the map.

THOUGHTS: According to the locals, there isn't much traffic at all until the mid summer (July-September). Its mainly rafters and some campers that come through the area. whoever dumped FCJD in this area HAD to have really good knowledge of this location. Perhaps the perp is a camper, hiker or rafter. Then nearest town with any substantial population is Woodland, WA; just off Interstate 5 (Exit 21). From Interstate 5, its about 45 minutes to the location I was at. There is also a possibility this was a random act of violence to where this young woman was camping along and was found by someone passing by who killed her. Considering how isolated the area is, I wouldn't rule it out. Nonetheless, many things could have happened.
I also noticed that many of the roads leading to this place were private roads, especially along Healy Road. There was also a scrap yard about a few miles down the road from the FCJD discovery site.
