Haralson will spend the next 10 years in prison because he violated terms of a special sentencing alternative for sex offenders that allowed him to spend just six months in jail and then undergo sexual deviancy treatment in the community.

Haralson watched pornographic movies and then failed to report doing so to his community treatment provider, McKeeman found.

Haralson, 53, of Stanwood was convicted of drugging and then raping a 10-year-old girl whom he knew. When she awoke the next morning, she was injured and there was a $20 bill on the bed next to her, prosecutors said.

    Happy Birthday!

Thanks for the link. He'll probably be incarcerated at McNeil Island with the rest of the sex offenders. My brother-in-law (Class 3 sex offender) is commited there because of violating his release terms with three months of being released for the second time. The commitment is reassessed on a yearly basis. We hope he never gets out because he is fixated on young boys, and has never participated in treatment.

Gosh White Wolf... I hope he does not get out either

How is he treated in Prison? whats his life like, do you know?

You don't have a problem mentioning being related to a convicted sex offender... I imagine there is a stigma attached to something like that. Thanx for sharing your views on this.

    Cass...

McNeil Island only houses sex offenders so he is with his kind. I've never felt a stigma associated with him being my bil, but my husband (2nd) did. I guess I've helped him work through his feeling about his brother, and he's helped me with my abuse issues from my second husband. We both came from alcholic and abusive families so it's a never ending issue.
