Teen missing for 2 weeks might be with sex offender. Police say she's at risk

A 15-year-old Bonney Lake girl missing for two weeks might be with a convicted sex offender, police said.

LC left her home May 9 and took a bus to Federal Way.

She was last seen at an apartment on 327th Lane in Federal Way.

Police classified her as an “at-risk” missing juvenile and said she has never left home for more than three days.

LC is known to frequent the Commons and the nearby transit center.

She may be with Christopher R. Fitzpatrick, a 39-year-old sex offender believed to frequent the same Federal Way areas as LC.

Fitzpatrick is wanted for failing to verify his addresses with the Pierce County Sheriff's Department, records show.

He pleaded guilty in 2003 to third-degree assault and felony harassment for threatening his wife and repeatedly raping her. When police arrested him at a Fife motel, he was having sex with a 16-year-old girl who was tied to the bed, charging papers show.

Fitzpatrick has two convictions for failing to register as a sex offender and a warrant was issued for him in 2016 on a third count of failing to register.

Anyone with information on LC's whereabouts is asked to call 911.

Sorry for replying to my own post ... still trying to adjust to the new format.

According to court records, he was never charged in the incident involving the 16-year-old. This is likely due to the fact that the age of consent in Washington is 16.

U.S. Marshals arrest sex offender believed to be with at-risk teen, girl has not been found

PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. — The U.S. Marshals-led Western District of Washington Fugitive Task Force, Bonney Lake Police Department and Lakewood Police Department just arrested sex offender Christopher Fitzpatrick.

He was located in Lakewood thanks to an anonymous tip generated after U.S. Marshals offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to his arrest. 15-year-old LC, who was believed to be with Fitzpatrick, is still missing.

Officers are continuing to search for her are asking for the public’s help to bring LC home safely or that she reach out to her family.

Fitzpatrick will be booked into jail for failing to register as a sex offender. More charges may be pending as detectives continue to investigate.

Sex offender who was thought to be with Bonney Lake teen captured; girl not found

The U.S. Marshals Service said he was arrested Saturday night at a home in Lakewood near Becker and Montrose Avenue Southwest. Officers were acting on an anonymous tip.

The girl, 15-year-old LC, was not with him, and Pierce County deputies are trying to find her.

On May 9, LC left her parent's home and took a bus to Federal Way. Police say she was last reported to have been at an apartment on 327th Lane in Federal Way.

She is known to go the Commons at Federal Way and the nearby transit center frequently.

I wonder how the authorities knew LC was with Christopherson in the first place? Was he with her at the apartment where she was last seen in Federal Way? Were they captured together somewhere on surveillance video?

As to how they came to the conclusion that LC was with Christopher and where they were, I’m not entirely sure, but perhaps from talking to her friends and based on tips.

I am very disappointed that LC was not with Christopher when he was apprehended. Her family must be so scared :(.
