I only came across this thread due to mention of it here: WA - WA - Skull found after mudslide, Tacoma, Jan'22 (websleuths.com)

by @Springrain .

How heart-breaking this case is. In reading through Teekah's thread, it is mentioned that while filming a re-enactment of her disappearance a week later at the bowling alley one of the bystanders who was watching noticed, and reported to police, another watching bystander who was acting strangely during the re-enactment and who met the same description given by John.

So both John and this witness to the re-enacted separately described a similar suspicious individual within very close time periods to each other. How did this critical information get overlooked at the time!!?? How was it overlooked for 21 years!!??

Have the police gone back to whoever filmed the re-enactment to see if they happened to take any footage of the bystanders watching it unfold? Seems to me that would be common police investigative tactics these days (filming funeral attendees, searchers etc), but perhaps was not back then. BUT, it has to be worth a try to at least ask if there happens to be footage still around that may incidentally have captured this suspicious individual on film. If so, I'm certain that a release of such footage to the public would trigger someone's recall or allow for identification of this individual whom they seek to find.

Such a missed opportunity; may Teekah get her justice.

This is heart wrenching Teekah’s mother says she recognizes the photo of the ‘pockmarked man’ LE showed her this past Nov 2019; she not only recognizes him but he currently subscribes to Teekah’s Facebook page.

Was a picture of the pockmarked man ever released to the public? It seems like that would be pretty important to identifying him. But then again, if he subscribes to Teekah's FB page - the police must know exactly who he is....

Teekah Lewis as a toddler and an age progressed image showing what she would look like now. (Theresa Czapieski / FACES Laboratory)

''When the toddler disappeared in 1999, Dier said police went to great lengths to find her, mowing down a wetland and using search dogs.
Investigators have received numerous tips, but none have ever led to a suspect.
Now, police are asking the public for information about a late 1980s or early 1990s maroon or purple Pontiac that a witness says fishtailed while speeding from the bowling alley parking lot, moments before Teekah vanished.
Dier said investigators are hoping the release of the age progression photo and calls for information about Teekah's disappearance could lead to a breakthrough.
It's possible Teekah is alive and doesn't know she was kidnapped, police said.''

As someone who knows very little about cars, could a 1980's Burgundy/Maroon Oldsmobile be mistaken for a Pontiac?
Speculation, imo, fwiw.

She looks so pretty in this age progression. I hope her mom and loved ones find out what happened to Teekah soon. They have waited long enough.

Could they go back and check car registrations for that time period?
