GUILTY Wales - Gerald Corrigan, 74, killed with crossbow bolt, Holyhead, 19 April 2019

Whall doesn’t deny that he previously owned a crossbow because he wanted the children to be involved in outdoor pursuits.

I meant to mention this earlier on the thread - do we know how old his children are ? A heavy crossbow wouldnt be my first choice if I were trying to get my kids into outdoor pursuits.
I think they were too young/small for the crossbow, but I can't find anything to back that up. I'll have another look later.

At 13.39 the Land Rover is on fire. Telematics makes an emergency call to a call centre who in turn contacted police

5m

By this time, Gavin Jones is back in Bryngwran. The brothers speak on the phone at 2pm

3m

Whall and Jones later go to the Vodafone shop in Bangor. At 2.46pm Gavin Jones calls his brother, Darren.

1m

Whall said his girlfriend had dropped him off at Gavin’s. They then went to the phone shop to get Gavin a new phone because police had taken old one after the incident on May 31.

Gavin, Whall and Gavin’s brother are all caught on CCTV on Dean Street

14m

Whall’s evidence was that he returned home. He was picked up in a lay-by by his girlfriend. When they got home, neither had noticed the Land Rover was missing. Shortly after, police arrived. They were given two keys to the Land Rover.

10m

The fact that he’s following the same route is ‘just a coincidence’. Jones said he went back to Dean St later on to meet up with his brother to talk about getting a solicitor.

8m

The Land Rover keys are a ‘key part’ of the evidence. Suggestions Whall must’ve provided the key to Darren Jones in order for it to be driven. It had his DNA on it. He could’ve hid in the Land Rover and driven it off that morning the prosecution allege.

You can’t start the engine without a key present. It is possible with the right equipment to boost a signal, the defence stated.

2m

Even if signal for key could be boosted, once engine turned off like at quarry, it wouldn’t be possible to turn it back on again without the key. You’d need specialist equipment and access to the car to reprogramme a key.

The judge has now finished summing up the evidence.

So TWs girlfriend drops him off at Gavin's.
She later picks him up in a lay by.

No info as to why she did this when TW could have used the Land Rover ?

I wonder did girlfriend go back home before picking up TW later - in which case, did she not notice the Land Rover was missing from outside the house ? And then, neither of them notice its absence when they return home together.

Good aerial view of the property, yellow line marks where shooter probably was, outside the wall and shows route of the bolt to the satellite dish

Whenever it gets to Friday afternoon I always think we may get a verdict, as jurors won't want to come back next week, but it never seems to happen.

I guess it means they're taking it seriously though.
