WI - Alisha Sidie, 27, Hatfield, 7 November 2008

http://www.wkowtv.com/Global/story.asp?S=9347429&nav=menu1362_2_1

There are lots of things going around. Apparently Doug took a polygraph and passed. On another message board, incrime sessions, there is her best friend who is trying to clear up some details, though she didn't know that Doug had an ex-wife. She says the Doug threw the keys in the yard. There is another person on the same board who seems to think that Doug, if looked at more closely would seem suspect. There is also another person saying something about cadavar dogs being out. I haven't heard anything more just that she is still missing.

It's nice that the locals are getting involved in these message boards, but I sure wished they understood these are here for speculations and posting facts. There is nothing wrong with either. Often times I think it helps sort out theories.

It hasn't been on the news yet but Alisha's body has been found. The husband confessed. This is what I heard. Not verified yet but she has been found.

Hi Alcestic, I am so sorry she has been found dead and that she was killed by her ex. She must have loved him to try and reconcile.

When I watched Nancy Grace tonight and learned about Alisha she evidently had not been found, or it was taped earlier than I realize.

God Bless her family and friends and her two little guys, the twins. We don't know why God lets such awful things happen. All we can do is trust in him. She is in a beautiful place now. And she will not be forgotton. xox

Dam it! Another beautiful, young woman killed at the hands of a violent man and two more babies left with no parents. My heartfelt condolences to Alisha's family and friends. May Alisha RIP and her loved ones find the strength to get through this.

She sure was a pretty young lady wasn't she. Her ex isn't much to look at though. She was to young to die and just thinking about those two babies left without a mom or dad is heartbreaking. So young that they won't even remember their mom. I hope someone in the family can take them both and give them a loving home. We should have known it was the husband :furious:
It is 99.9% of the time. When we hear the same old story almost everytime we can pinpoint just who the killer is. We fought....she walked out the door...she didn't take anything with her...left the car...kids...clothes...money...phone..etc. She just flat took off. What he really means is...we fought...I killed her...I carried her out the door and dumped her body. She didn't need any belongings!!!

More than 100 volunteers helped law enforcement search for Alisha's body in the woods surrounding her home. It was actually one of those volunteers that led to a break for investigators.

Jackson County District Attorney Gerald Fox says, "A volunteer searcher found one of our key pieces of evidence. We are extremely grateful for the assistance we recieved from the public."

Article talks about Doug Sidie being formally charged today. Also, it is revealed that he shot her on their front sidewalk.

From your link

He and Alisha were arguing when he shot her with a .22-caliber revolver in the head. He then transported her body in a red 1996 Chevy S10 pickup and dumped her body in the town of Komensky, according to the criminal complaint. The gun was recovered in Morrison Creek.
An autopsy confirmed Alisha died of a traumatic brain injury from a single gunshot wound through her left eye that penetrated her brain.

WHY NOT JUST WALK AWAY??? How does it get to this point? Not only shooting her, but the rest of what was done, I don't think I will ever comprehend.:furious::eek::confused:

Good Lord! Where were their 2-year-old babies when this happened? Did no one see or hear anything? He shot her right in the front yard! Un-friggin-believable. I am so, so, so tired of these stories. WTH? If this goes to trial, I will FREAK OUT! What's he going to say in his defense? Jeeeeeez.

I agree w/ you...i am so sick of these stories...everyone killing everyone...and the people they love too...why????....why not just let them go??? :(...why take your kids' mommy away forever??? :(
Do you even know what that does to a kid????
She was someone's friend, mother, sister, best friend....this is all so overwhelming...:(

LA CROSSE, Wis. (AP) -- A La Crosse County judge will preside in the case of a Jackson County man accused of killing his ex-wife and hiding her corpse.

Alisha Sidie, the mother of twin 2-year-old boys, was found dead in a wooded area Nov. 15 -- a week after being reported missing by ex-husband Douglas Sidie.

Records show that was only after Sidie admitted shooting her and told where the body could be found. He previously denied any knowledge of what happened to her.

He's due back in court next Monday on charges of first-degree intentional homicide, hiding a corpse and obstructing an officer.

Jackson County Circuit Judge Thomas Lister recused himself because he represented Sidie in a civil case in 2002. La Crosse County Circuit Judge Dale Pasell will hear the case.

Not sure what happened, if anything, after Dec 10th when he was supposed to appear.

Sidie expected to make plea deal in ex-wife's murder

Prosecutors say they're set for a deal that could end a Jackson County murder case.
The Jackson County district attorney expects Doug Sidie to enter a no contest plea Tuesday. Detectives say Sidie admitted shooting his ex-wife Alisha, after an argument in November at their Jackson County home.
The district attorney says if Sidie enters the no contest plea to the first degree intentional homicide charge the remaining 10 charges will be dismissed.

Sidie is expected to make this plea Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m. If he pleads no contest the court will schedule a sentencing hearing and the case will not go to trial.

New sentencing date in murder case

The sentencing date for a 40-year-old former Hatfield area man convicted of killing his ex-wife has been rescheduled.
Douglas A. Sidie pleaded guilty on Aug. 11 to first-degree intentional homicide in the shooting death of Alisha Rowlee Sidie, 27. Nine misdemeanors and a felony charge of hiding a corpse were dismissed in the plea agreement.
Sidie was scheduled to be sentenced Sept. 29, but that was changed Monday by La Crosse County Judge Elliott Levine to Oct. 13. The conviction has a mandatory penalty of life in prison. Levine will decide if Sidie will be eligible for extended supervision. He must serve at least 20 years in prison.
