Well, if he had tried to reunite with her and it hadn't worked out, that might be reason to be angry at her.

Saw this on another thread...

What about this guy? Robert Lee Kellar

Circumstances of Disappearance
Kellar always wanted to be a singer in a rock and roll band. He would hitchhike to California, Colorado and Florida, exploring the United States and chasing that dream. The last time he left, he never came back.
According to family members he wasn't acting like himself in the months prior to his disappearance. He was depressed and also had other problems that were hard for him to handle and may have been using drugs. Kellar's family reported him missing in 1992, two years after he left on his last cross-country trip. They assumed he would be back. Muscatine police took the report but didn’t find evidence of a crime. Because there was no indication of foul play in the disappearance of Kellar, the investigation concluded that he left the area voluntarily.
Kellar's family believes he is residing in another state probably Colorado, California, New York or Florida. They have not had any contact with him and are concerned as a result of this.

Kellar with the two sketches. Looks like a pretty good fit. Looks aren't everything, I know.

We should keep Bryan Fleeman on our radar as a possible match.

He is in NAMUS- Bryan was added to NAMUS in November 2014. No picture yet. Circumstances of disappearance not listed.
His height is listed as 66 inches. His "DNA samples submitted, tests not complete". Dental "currently not available".
Age 20 Brown hair, hazel eyes.

Bryan went missing from Ferndale in Oakland County, MI on January 22, 1995.

Looking at Namus, this Indiana MP Sargent Micek was just added on April 28, 2015. Although he was last seen in 1989, he apparently picked up a couple of DUI charges in 1993. Height in range, has light/medium brown hair, but he would be a little older than the UID's estimated age in 1995. He disappeared from a South Bend bar at 3am after his mother told him to call a cab and refused to come get him. Remember the UID was yelling about a woman.

Here is his link: https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/28485/6/

Dentals and DNA are both "not available", his FP are on file "elsewhere". But since the UID was 98% skeletal, FP are not going to help much.

Rainwater, Micek has been ruled out.

At the Namus link for the UID, under Circumstances, there is a link to a spreadsheet. It is the best one I've ever seen. Explains who has been ruled out and why along with names they are considering:

Hi there.. New member here.. Replying to Jack mostly...

I sent you an email at the Rock County address... Figured I'd reach out here, too...

I'm local to the area (Beloit) and know this area very well...

I first heard of this last year when NBC 15 did a 20 year anniversary story on it and thought "hmm", but soon forgot about it.

I happened to browse a missing Doe website and rediscovered our JCD here... I was only 11-12 when he died, but after rereading more info I got a weird feeling drawing me towards a friend of mine.

I read this whole thread and many others (reddit mainly) and got sucked in to our JCD...

As I read and read my thoughts kept drifting to an older friend of mine... Knowing she's a total metal-head and party goer...

Long story short, i asked if she was involved in the metal scene in 1994..she was.. I asked if she ever partied out at Carver-Roehl Park around that time.. She definitely did...
I then sent her the JCD poster reddit made and immediately she said it reminded her a lot of a guy she knew named Corey and ironically she lost contact with him around that same time...

She couldn't remember much more, but she's gonna continue to think on it and call me tomorrow (6/3) at noonish...

Clearly, it's a very slim chance here, but seems like this is currently the best news for this case... Likely nothing will come of it, but ya never know..

If you get this first please check your coroner email address and get back to me.. I'd like to chat...

Also, and even though it likely won't help ID JCD, I have a suicide theory that involves slitting the wrists or neck (and not damaging the bones) and discarding the knife in the vicinity.. Idk if a metal detector was ever used to sweep the area and the creek, but I'd like an opportunity to maybe meet up with you at some point and possibly comb the area again.. (if I'd be allowed to).. I also have many more questions, but they can wait until you reply.

This will likely amount to no new info, but I'd love to assist and hopefully try to ID this poor soul.

I'm at Incubustaproot@yahoo.com if you'd prefer.. Thsnks in advance :)

-Josh

Also.. Since its not common knowledge outside of this area, and I haven't seen it mentioned I figured it may be noteworthy to mention this...

The nearby Carver-Roehl Park had a huge reputation in the area for being a gay (homosexual) male meeting place for a long long time... I first visited the park in 1999/2000 and heard about it then, and SEVERAL other times when I speak of the park to folks...

They've since started a plain-clothed patrol of the park to curtail this... But when JCD was in the area, it was extremely well know as such...
Imo, he doesn't strike me as the gay type, but all knowledge is power and figured I'd share this info with everyone in the event it may help add a piece to this puzzle.

Welcome, Mushroom!!! Thanks for the additional information. Very interesting......:wagon:

Thanks :)

I wasn't able to speak to my friend today, but I will and listen to her stories from that time and relay any pertinent info to everyone.

If anybody has any questions about the general area that can't be answered otherwise, feel free to ask... Lived here 32 years and may be of service. :)

Submitted the following 3 missing young men as possible matches:

1. Shawn McNeese from OH age 24 missing March 1995 https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/22880/0/ Height listed is 64 inches.

2. Sean Crispin from VA missing May 1995 age 20-21 https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/29262/0/ Apparently noone can remember Sean's height- it is listed as being between 64-78 inches.

3. Scott Hilbert from OH March 1988 age 19 https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/22880/0/ In 1995, Scott would have been older than UID estimated age and he is listed as being taller, but there is a very strong resemblance to the recon.

Yes, I know the isotope test results said he was from one of 3 states, but families move due to all sorts of reasons: job changes, military transfers, divorces, etc.

wow so many potential matches.

havnt checked this thread in a while.

Mushroom did you ever talk to your friend about Corey?

Sorry about the problem with the link. I have heard back already about the 3 I submitted.
Dr. Friess has set up a website that will always have the most current ruleout list:
http://findjcd.org.

He wants us to use that ruleout list in the future, please. It will be the most up-to-date. Scott McNeese has already been ruled out and is on that list.
For John Doe's height-we should be looking at MPs in the 64-67 inch height range.

Scott Hilbert is being eliminated based on circumstances and his age in 1994 would have been way too old. He said we should be looking for MPs clearly under the age of 21-bone calcification and teeth eruption showed this John Doe was clearly and definitively under the age of 21 in 1994.

Sean Crispin is being entered into the "Interested Person" database for John Doe and Sean Crispin will be evaluated as a possible . There is not enough to eliminate him as a match, but Dr. Friess feels it is unlikely that Sean Crispin is this Doe.

Recently, NamUS UP# 8382 who had been found on the shore of Yuba Lake in Juab County, UT in September 1978 was identified as Marilee Bruszer from Long Beach, CA. There were quite a few discrepancies between Ms. Bruszer’s vital statistics and those estimated by the Coroner/Medical Examiner in Utah. Two really glaring discrepancies were her age (Marilee was 33 year old when she disappeared, Jane Doe was estimated to be between 18 to 22) and the time of death (Marilee disappeared from Long Beach two weeks previous, Jane Doe was estimated to have been dead for 2 to 3 years). I couldn’t help but notice a number of missing men appear to have been ruled out due to age (vitals) or circumstance alone on the spreadsheet – it would be a good idea to take a look at these people again if they haven’t actually been ruled out by dentals or DNA.

Exactly! The issue with unidentifieds now is that we may not be completely sure unless we have DNA or significant dentals, such as an oddly-shaped tooth. It's a sad fact, but unless we have DNA, we may not know.

Bumping this excellent link posted by rainwater, thanks.
http://findjcd.org/

"During an autopsy conducted in December, 1995 the skeleton was examined by a Forensic Anthropologist and determined to be a Caucasian male, 18+/- (or 17-20) years old who stood approximately 5’6” tall and weighed approximately 140 pounds. He had long, straight, collar-length brown hair. Eye color could not be determined.

JCD was found fully clothed with very distinctive, age-appropriate clothing properly placed on his body. He lay face down with a plaid flannel jacket pulled up over or placed on his back and head. One Nike Air Bound basketball shoe lay beside the remains."
