Excellent point - city living is not like that! Thanks for the reminder
Maybe the Dad was paying utilities knowing his kid was staying there. Parents do that. His dad probably never visited him and just paid to keep the lights and heat on for him. He probably told his dad he was looking for work blah blah blah and his dad felt guilty for the divorce. He might have even manipulated his parents guilty divorce conscious to survive.
What is "on discord"?
Why? The world is full of criminals, murderers, etc...he is nothing special.
Yes, a Ring would have been activated and captured his image before he fired, and would have captured enough to identify him.

I’m wondering if there will be things uncovered at the house
You could be right, id like to know what his first three/5 years on earth were like, I’m not giving absolution, just think some kids with serious neglect from absent parents suffer greatly.....he seems vacant to me. Whatever joy/happiness/gratification he thought the crime would provide, I’m not sure it helped him, in three photos I’ve seen he seems not there....
Most learning happens in the first 3 years
I don't think anyone is saying he is. No more so than the posts about parents supporting him, rich kid etc..
PS: if old-ish is 6* I am right there with you lol
HOWEVER, it could have been a combination of the two things. He could have planned in advance, that he was going to bring home a girl. And he saves up some supplies, built in a way to hold her hostage at the house, like a locked closet or basement, etc, shaves his head, AND THEN he goes hunting an hour or two from his cabin.
He could have seen her and her mom at the market, or saw them as they were returning from the family party, etc etc. Then waited until the middle of the night so the neighbors would all be asleep....
Wondering about two things:
1. Did he observe the Closs family's daily routine by hiding in the woods surrounding the Closs residence? I'm almost thinking that he had to do so.
2. Did he participate in the organized searches for Jayme? Ariel Castro did so, as did Scott Peterson.
ETA: Lovely photo of Jayme and her Aunt!
I thought the sheriff said the house had both water and electricity. Is that not the case?
I wouldn't be surprised if he's on the autistic spectrum.
Dogs and guns are not for everyone (and therefore not the best form of security, in their view). Likewise for security cameras/alarms.
Preference is subjective which makes neither "better or best"
Gaming, chatrooms & I’ll add social media cliff notes. Good idea Wild West!
That’s an excellent point. This very well could have been a mixture.
He was going to kidnap someone, but didn’t have a specific target in mind until just before the crime.

In recognition of Jayme Closs's homecoming, the Lowry Bridge is lit blue and green tonight — the same colors that the community of #Barron, Wisconsin, used to decorate a Christmas tree for Jayme while she was missing.
