Did Blume specify which sister spoke to Denise at 10 PM? She has 2 sisters. She might have communicated with one at 8:30 and the other one later.

Paul Blume is also saying something to the effect that the sheriff has clarified that James's guns are accounted for and that the killer brought their own weapon. Has there been any interviews or press conferences where the sheriff actually stated this?

Thanks, Josh. Didn't see myself getting thrown into an Acosta/White House argument today, As for #FindJaymeCloss update: Sheriff confirms investigators now examining surveillance video from a larger radius around crime scene including *outside* of Barron County. #FindJJayme

    Which opposite?
Turtle Lake is to the west. Barron is to the east.
Further west/southwest (90 miles) leads to Minneapolis, MN.
Further east, looks like a lot of small towns similar to Barron.

I keep wondering also if the multiple rounds near the door were intentional or accidental. some people have a hard time stopping shooting once they pull the first time if is a semi auto handgun that is very powerful, the recoil causes some to hold on tighter and when the slide slams it can become a cycle that can be hard to break. could point to someone not use to shooting.

I don't think he specified and that very much could be what happened

Perhaps James or someone in the house had a video/picture of something and that was the motive for the attack. Concealed electronics might be something purposely hidden that the perp wasn't able to find.

That part was removed from the KSTP story and if you watch the viideo it is not mentioned in the video while the rest of the information in the story is. The reporter only says that Denise was found elsewhere in the home. Which we knew from the 911 call log, which she also had been citing throughout her report, but she credited the "elsewhere in the home" to SN (Denise's brother).

It is the next property East of the Closs home on the north side of the road. Law enforcement per the 911 log arranged a search of the property using two volunteer fire departments and probably a deputy or three.

I respectfully disagree. I’ve learned countless people lead secret lives after practicing civil law for many years. People are extremely secretive when it comes to money and/or disputes arising from occurrences they don’t want others to know about. Mind you, I represented “reputable” professionals and families whose lives appeared beyond reproach on the outside. Nothing would surprise me.

    Some interesting new details (BBM):

The phone from which the call was made lay on the floor inside
    the modest, taupe-colored home.

"The phone isn’t near anyone so I don’t know if it got kicked," Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald of Barron County told Fox News on Tuesday. "It was closer to Denise than to James."

"No one talked on that call and we don't know who made it. We heard voices but we can’t make out what was said," he said, adding that it sounded as though the call was made in a room separate from the commotion.

"We do believe Jayme was home at the time the call was made," Fitzgerald noted.

Not sure if this article has been posted yet. Am I reading that right when it says they have all three phones?

The Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation used a specially-trained dog to sniff out electronic devices at the Closs home, but none of the devices that were found have yielded any clues, including the three cellphones that belonged to Jayme and her parents, Fitzgerald said.

to me the this is the best simplest explanation for the electronics sniffing dog. This does not mean she had the device just that they had to check.

Thank you for shedding some light on this issue. The fact that the casino was on law enforcement’s radar does NOT equate with James having a gambling problem, gambling the night of his death, etc, etc, etc. With all due respect I do not understand why people continue to beat this dead horse.

Sounds to me like you maybe have some casino experience yourself... bet you could tell me what a $25 horn bet pays on the high side. :)

Also, not sure if the bullet holes in the door part is true (BBM):

"With no suspects, no sighting of the child and scarce physical evidence one month after the Oct. 15 murders, police in the small town of Barron are scrutinizing the few clues they have, starting with the mysterious 911 call and a front door riddled with bullet holes.

Fitzgerald would not say whether the killer shot through the door but local news footage shows investigators carrying it away from the scene -- covered with what looks like bullet holes. Fitzgerald confirmed to Fox News that the door was undergoing forensic analysis. He also would not elaborate on the type of gun used in the crimes, citing the sensitivity of the investigation. James Closs kept hunting rifles inside the home but all have been accounted for."

Has anyone found this footage of the "bullet riddled" door being taken away? I think they might be referring to the glass storm door with pumpkin window clings?
