Menominee Tribal Police Department is now working with surrounding jurisdictions to find Katelyn.

“According to the witness, is she returned back this way, approximately 15 minutes later and she did not see her (Kelley) walking westbound so that's why we believe she was picked up in a vehicle,” said Chief of Police for the Menominee Tribal Police Department, Richard Nacotee.

The Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women organization is trying to help and said its statistics continue to soar at an alarming rate, but Katelyn's family is hopeful and is asking for anyone who knows anything to please come forward.

If you know anything about the case you are asked to call Menominee Tribal police at (715) 799-3881.

Police are also asking people to stop spreading rumors that Katelyn has been located. “Whomever is responsible for saying she has been located please stop! You are affecting an investigation and more importantly you are affecting a family that is going through something very traumatic!”

Kelley, who was reported missing by her mother on June 18, was observed at her apartment in the City of Shawano between 11 p.m. on June 16 and 3 a.m. on June 17, according to police.

Katelyn is described as 5′2″, 140 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. She was last seen wearing a gray t-shirt, a black swimsuit type top, blue jean shorts and black flip-flops.

Menominee Tribal Police say they and other Tribal entities have searched the roadways, forest areas and bodies of water in the area, and add no arrests have been made in their investigation.

Police are asking boaters, campers, hunters and residents to be on the lookout for anything they consider to be suspicious.

Action 2 News reporter Aisha Morales spoke with Kelley’s family members. They say it isn’t like Kelley to not be in contact with her family.

Again, if you know anything about the disappearance of Katelyn Kelley, call police at 715-799-3881.

i wonder if whomever gave her a ride knew she was alone and went back later?

We live in Keshena in the summer, we come up here Monday - Friday then home for the weekends. It’s heartbreaking how many missing poster signs are all over for her. And VV is a quiet road with nothing on it. There are houses are and few and no street lights. I am curious who said they saw her get in a car and said she was now last seen in shanawo.
Every were around here the towns pretty much turn in to ghost towns after 8pm.

I’ve been following this story and it sounds pretty suspicious. I pray that they find her soon, and safe. My heart breaks for her son and family. I can’t imagine the heartache and worry this brings them.

There is an outstanding arrest warrant for Katelyn. She had been charged with Disorderly Conduct with a Domestic Abuse modifier. She didn't show for a hearing on 5/15/2020 even though prosecutors were dropping to a lesser offense and an arrest warrant was issued. The victim (almost certain it is the father of their child) didn't show for the 5/15/2020 hearing either. She also didn't show for the bond forfeiture hearing on 6/15/2020 so $500 was also forfeited.
