Dantzman’s family members say he got into town August 29th, walked out of his motel room early the next morning, and never came back.

“To have someone that’s a senior in your family and an honored member, and the guest of honor — actually well, one of two of the guest of honors coming to your family reunion all the way from California, and then life smacks you up along side the head and he goes on walkabout,” Ladenthin says.

Search continues for missing northern Wisconsin man
Thanks, Rainy! It looks like there's some new information in that last link - sort of - we knew he was attending a family reunion but this is a little more detailed.
  • Dantzman was visiting from California to celebrate 100 years since his family purchased the family farm near Winter, Wisconsin.
  • He was one of two main guests of honor because he was born and raised there and was in the Merchant Marine in Duluth.
  • He could’ve taken up residence with an elderly woman with similar cognitive issues, according to his family.
So sad. What should have been a celebratory occasion was just the beginning of a nightmare for this family. Best case scenario is that he's taken up residence with someone! We can hope. :) MOO
