Authorities in western Wisconsin have located the car of a missing woman, but found no signs of 21-year-old Rose Bly.

Her car was found Wednesday evening near Grantsburg. Investigators obtained a search warrant for the car, but found nothing of significance. The keys were not in the vehicle and there was no apparent damage to the vehicle.

Authorities interviewed people in the Grantsburg area, but were unable to find any new leads.

The St. Croix Falls woman was last seen Friday, after telling her husband that she was going to visit a cousin who lived four miles away. That cousin told authorities Bly never arrived.

Anyone with information on Rose Bly's disappearance should call the Polk County Sheriff's Office at 715-485-8300.

Still Missing

The search for a missing Polk County woman takes investigators to Chetek, but that lead doesn't pan out.

The sheriff says there was a report that Rose Bly was spotted in Chetek, but investigators along with Rose's mother reviewed a security camera, and they agreed it wasn't her.

Rose disappeared in August. She left home to meet up with a relative at a bar in Cushing, but never showed.

Law enforcement searched some areas near her home Wednesday, but had no luck there either.

Bly grew up in the Grantsburg area and graduated from Grantsburg High School. She moved to St. Croix Falls a few years ago, Ditlefsen said.

She and Larson were married in February. They have two daughters, one 9 months old and the other 19 months.

Bly enjoyed riding horses, and there has been speculation that she suffered a head injury during a ride shortly before her disappearance.

Her mother said Bly fell from a horse about a week before she went missing. The last time the two talked -- just two days before her disappearance -- Bly complained of headaches, said Harer, who said she advised her daughter to see a doctor.

There was no evidence that she consulted with a doctor or that she had head trauma from the accident, Johnson said.

People who know her also indicated Bly has had problems with depression, investigators said. And according to court records, her relationship with her husband has been rocky.

Police have been called to the home in the past -- Larson accused her of slapping him, and she accused him of putting her in a headlock and slamming her to the ground, according to police and court records. He filed for divorce in June, but they reconciled and he withdrew the petition.
Anyone with information should call the Polk County sheriff's office at 715-485-8300.

Is Rose Bly's case connected to a new missing woman, Theresa Lynn Still, missing since 12/27/9.
EAU CLAIRE (WQOW) - The Polk County sheriff says he plans to talk with Altoona police about Theresa Still's case. A woman from Polk County has been missing since August.
Rose Bly left home to meet up with a relative at a bar in Cushing but never showed up. Her car was later found abandoned in Grantsburg. There were no keys inside and there were no signs that any struggle took place.

The sheriff says he has no reason to believe the cases are connected but will be sharing information with Altoona police to be safe.

Five years gone
No signs of Rose Marie Bly since 2009
Greg Marsten | Staff writer
She had little cash, no credit cards and there was no evidence indicating what had occurred. That area in Grantsburg was scoured for evidence and investigators went door-to-door, as well as using a helicopter to search the area near her rural home, but nothing was found, or at least, nothing authorities have chosen to share. Bly is just gone, and that does not sit well with many people.

Bly would be or is now 26 years old. She and Larson have two daughters in common, both of whom were toddlers at the time of her disappearance. Next week marks five years since she was last seen, and while the rumors have swirled, and lives have changed, the search goes on, according to Polk County Sheriff Peter Johnson.
“It’s still being actively investigated,” he stated, giving few details about the case in recent times. “Nobody is ruled out.”
Bly’s mother, Candus Harer, has maintained a perennial flower garden that she, her family and friends started after her daughter disappeared so long ago.
“It’s not pretty now, but it was beautiful this summer,” Harer said last fall. “We’ve added to it every year since Rose has been gone.”
Harer continues to see the garden bloom, die and freeze, and every August she gets ready to face yet another winter with no word on her missing daughter.
