I'm searching for an image of Sean Flowers III.

This link contains interviews with eyewitnesses, including the man who went into the pond to try to rescue the little baby. JG is an Army veteran, and a hero in my eyes!

Police: Father accused of drowning 3-month-old baby boy after dispute with mother | FOX6Now.com
    [...]
Police say a civilian witness followed the suspect into the water to prevent harm to the baby.

"Without thinking -- I just ran into the water. I yelled at him 'where's the baby? Where's the baby?' And then I saw a baby floating in the water. I grabbed it. I tried to swim away with it. He lunged at me and took the baby again and swam further, deeper. We all lost. We all lost this one. No matter what you do, no matter how hard you try, sometimes you just lose. No matter how hard you try. You just wish you could've did more," Joey Griffin said.

Responding officers also proceeded into the water in an attempt to rescue the baby and apprehend the suspect.

When officers reached the suspect, he was not in possession of the baby. The suspect was taken into custody while still in the pond.

Meanwhile, additional officers searched the pond for the baby.

The unconscious baby boy was located within minutes and officers rushed to shore to immediately began resuscitation efforts. The Milwaukee Fire Department arrived on the scene and began advanced life support efforts. Unfortunately, the baby was unable to be revived and died at the scene.

While apprehending the suspect and searching for the baby, several officers unintentionally ingested the untreated pond water. They were taken to a hospital as a precaution. They are expected to make a full recovery.

You are an über-sleuth today, perfectingpink! I just wish it wasn't necessary, as we mourn the loss of such tiny little angels (here and on KayLynn's thread)

A judge granted them joint custody, with primary custody to the mother and Flowers to have the child for reasonable amounts of time upon reasonable notice. The judge also ordered Flowers to make child support payments of $20 a week and pay $500 toward expenses of the birth.

A couple months later, the woman filed for a restraining order against Flowers, alleging he had threatened her and kicked down her door, and that he had previously struck her in the face and punched her repeatedly at other times and refused to let her leave.

Last month, the original 2015 child support action was consolidated into a new one, and Flowers was ordered to begin paying $62.50 a week starting Monday.
In 2012, Flowers and the woman had been charged together with felony theft, accused of snatching the purse of a Marquette University student early in the afternoon near N. 16th St. and W. Kilbourn Ave. Flowers was arrested hours later, and both he and the woman pleaded guilty to misdemeanor theft charges.

She later wrote to the judge, asking that Flowers be released from jail to witness the birth of their first child. Flowers had been sentenced in July 2012 to a suspended 18-month jail term, in lieu of 18 months probation, but had violated his probation and was serving the jail time. Records do not indicate that he was released early for the birth.

In April, Flowers had written to the judge in the theft case asking to have his 2012 record expunged because it was making it hard to find a job or get credit and to support his family. A court official wrote back to explain that Flowers was not eligible to have the theft conviction expunged because his probation had been revoked.

Sean Flowers faces homicide charge, accused of drowning his 3-month-old son | FOX6Now.com

25-year-old Sean Flowers is now charged with first-degree intentional homicide in the death of his own son, Sean Flowers III.
    [...]
According to the criminal complaint, Sean Flowers was at a family party in an apartment near the pond when he became angry with the baby’s mother — and grabbed the child as a crowd gathered to try to stop him.

A woman called 911 at 8:42 p.m. on Saturday to report that Flowers was “threatening to throw his three-month-old child…into the water.” When police arrived on the scene, they witnessed a large group of citizens at the water’s edge yelling, “He’s drowning the baby.”

Officers spotted two men in the water — one was a man who was trying to rescue the baby, the other was Flowers. It was about 8:55 p.m. when the complaint indicates Flowers “dropped Sean Flowers III into the water.” Flowers then swam deeper into the pond.
    [...]
“It’s heartbreaking because they’ve been going through things for quite some time — fighting and everything, and she was just tired of it. He got mad,” Tom Austin, the baby’s great uncle said.

Officers continued to monitor Flowers in the water. The complaint says he “would go under water and then come back up.” He apparently did this approximately five times.
    [...]
The complaint says during this time Flowers “said he was going to burn in hell for killing his son and the police would be blessed for saving him.”

The complaint indicates Flowers became combative with officers once they got to shore. Flowers had to be tased so the officers could put him in handcuffs.

During an in-custody interview on Sunday, July 31st, Flowers “claimed to not remember any of the events of July 30th.” He did however recall “being kicked and tased by police.” The complaint says “when informed that (Flowers) killed his son, (Flowers) showed no emotion, and instead talked about not being able to see the (Flowers’) family anymore.” The complaint also indicates Flowers brought up free will during the in-custody interview. A detective responded: “like, you had the free will to kill your kid?” Flowers responded, ‘right.'”

If convicted on the charge, Flowers faces up to life in prison.

A beast! Thank goodness he pleaded guilty. There were too many witnesses for him to ever be found not guilty.
