54-year-old Tennessee runner Barbara Tatge was dared by her daughters to put a new take on the tradition of men stopping to kiss Wellesley town women while competing in the Boston Marathon.
She found a handsome male stranger and asked him for a kiss, and got someone to snap a photo to prove she'd done it. Perhaps a little unwisely, her daughters launched a social media campaign to find him, which came to a sudden end last weekend when his wife sent a letter to the local paper, the Wellesley Townsman.
His wife took the surprise of seeing her husband kissing a strange woman all over the news in good part though, saying she found it 'hilarious' and she was enjoying all their friends 'giving her husband grief' over the photo.
