An afternoon explosion claimed the lives of two workers at a production facility in Cumberland, W.Va., an official from AL Solutions Inc., told FoxNews.com moments before a press conference. An additional worker has been hospitalized.

The cause of the blast remains unknown, said Ken Kline, the chief financial officer for AL Solutions Inc. A fire remains raging in the facility.

AL Solutions, formerly called Jamegy Inc., develops additives for the aluminum industry.

Kline says the blast happened in the main production building. He says the plant employs about 25 people.
