Found Safe WV - Deliah Clark, 7, Southside, 22 March 2016

Is the "street" a somewhat proper street with through traffic? Or just a private drive between the two houses in a wooded area? Going to see if I can find out.

Deliah Clark was found at around 8:30 this morning, and has been reunited with her mom.

There's a little dog in the left hand side of the picture - I wonder if she was with her dogs all night long? What an unusual story, a child this age getting lost on her own street all night long.

Great she's been found. I didn't think this one would turn out well.

Mason County deputies said the investigation is still open and a news release should be available sometime on Wednesday.

"found safe Wednesday morning after she apparently had walked out of the woods and had a Chihuahua in her arms." The other dog had walked out of the woods about 20 minutes prior.

"The girl was dehydrated, but she appeared to be warm and OK and is at the hospital being evaluated."

The Bassett probably helped her find her way out of the woods, or maybe he heard voices and ran toward the voices.

She told investigators that one of her two dogs got away from her, but when she went to chase after it, she got lost in the woods.

Bless her great grandfather:

Deliah's great grandfather was the last person to see her before her disappearance. He says he's so thankful for the happy ending.

He said: "She lives up here. She's came across there, come in, and wanted to see me. I've been having to stay in and stuff. She done all that, and then all of a sudden she said 'I got to go home.' She come right out the door and I guess went that way. I don't know, I didn't get up or anything. She done it all the time. She hugged me and all that."
