“… the Stout family is frustrated. They've publicly criticized law enforcement, claiming they haven't searched the house where he was last seen. State Police couldn't comment on the matter."
It's time to bump this. This story has a little more info. It says that Luke was with another man and was carrying a bicycle frame and was picked up at the end of the driveway. I haven't seen that reported before. Has that been reported? Where? Who was he with? Here's the most recent story. It's from Sunday.
I have been wondering if the wife of Villagomez may have spilled the beans to someone about Oberg because of her concern about Luke. I can imagine her telling a friend that she thinks Chino hurt Luke. Then the friend asks why she thinks that. And she says that China has hired someone to kill before.
West Virginia State Police investigators have testified they believe Rodolpho "Chino" Villagomez Correa, 33, of Buckhannon, paid Jessie Lee Heater, 30, also of Buckhannon, $5,000 to kill Oberg after Correa learned Oberg had become romantically involved with Correa's wife.
[snip]
As part of his plea agreement with the state, Siron has agreed to cooperate in the investigation by providing statements regarding the involvement of Correa and Heater in Oberg's death.
He is also required to submit to an additional polygraph examination if requested by the prosecuting attorney's office concerning the disappearance of Luke Stout, according to the plea agreement's terms.
Stout was reported missing on July 18, and police have been told there is a connection between Stout's disappearance and Oberg's death.
This case breaks my heart. His mothers pleas break my heart. Its obvious to me that Luke is no longer with us and I'd bet the house that Chino is responsible. It really appears that LE does not care to prosecute him for Luke's murder or even find Luke's remains. Very sad, indeed.
