You are 100% right. It makes no sense to refer to her case in that way. The only thing I can think of is if he has some intel as far as her presumed cause of death upon initial discovery. Like no obvious wounds of infliction to warrant an obvious homicide. But even so, that would only keep Brian’s POI status from being elevated to suspect. It doesn’t change the fact that Gabby is no longer a missing person.

Ok so using your logic, they were documenting their entire trip on video and on IG, and this was the perfect time to kill someone obviously because no one knew where they were....er wait....nevermind. Everyone knew where they were. And in his infinite wisdom as this master planner I've been seeing, escape artist, he thought that revealing himself to several people and telling the truth about that he was out there with his GF was a better move that putting her in the van and driving it away? Seems like a LOT more work for a guaranteed bad result doing what he did. Which does not line up with people's impression of him. So something doesn't make sense.

Maybe he's been spotted up a tree in his beloved hammock.

This is such a sad case. A young woman loses her life and what's left of a young man's life is destroyed.
"If you see something say something" may have been able to prevent this from happening.
Friends and family saw this kind of controlling behavior. Unless this type of control is the norm for these families intervention, perhaps, could have saved both.

Recognizing toxic relationships, physical or mental domestic abuse is something only a few professionals are familiar with. Law enforcement is not the firewall.

The resolution begins long before these relationships become a public crisis.
Perhaps we may now see legislation passed to engage and educate the public, and Gabbys death will bring about that change.

Not a statement, only MY opinion.

    Rest peacefully, Gabby!

I believe temp flight restrictions cover drones as well.

Maybe something like seeing him driving the car on street or parking cam or something that day as his parents' claimed.

Of course, he could have walked into the reserves, skirted the perimeter, and then walked out at a pre-agreed meeting point where someone picked him up and drove him elsewhere. His sister, maybe?

That's what I was thinking. Especially since one accidentally got Gabby when they found her.

Maybe he is hanging and they need to get him down but cannot use privacy tents. IMO

According to an earlier post; it infers that DNA is needed to positive ID. If thats the case COD could be difficult in some cases from what i know.

    What do you think?

I don't think he's in the hiking area.

    I don't think he'd ever kill himself.

I think he's hiding elsewhere and I think he has had HELP to do so.

I can imagine that it's a swarm of news choppers. While they can be helpful, it could also be detrimental. It could be something or it could be nothing. We'll just have to wait and see.

Looking at those postcards, I feel like poor Gabby was just trying her best to keep this relationship, which she saw as a dream, together. It feels like she was the only one of them participating in the relationship.

They put their hands on each other.
It was mutual. We see it differently.

Such a beautiful location and my heart can't stand the thought of someone doing that in that way. It's so opposite of the human spirit. I hope she didn't suffer looking up at the person killing or hurting her. I know it seems like wishful thinking on my part.

I sure don’t have answers about the reasons why he did what he did. But Gabby wasn’t under the FBI tent that was out in the open. Helicopter crews reporting right after she was found said she was among trees and other vegetation not far from where they erected the tent. She was more hidden.

She still could have been seen by a hiker but I think he believed she was far enough off of the road to remain out of sight. He perhaps didn’t think about what could have happened to her afterwards with the wildlife in the area. He doesn’t seem terribly savvy or realistic so that doesn’t surprise me.
