Curious...Why do you think he has no money? He could have emptied his bank savings account or was given cash from his parents. Untraceable, bought a car from a private owner.

My first guess was they got into a heated argument that involved slapping, shoving and he accidentally pushed her and hit her head, but then again since she mentioned he grabs her face I thought he might have strangled her in a fit of rage. But then again I did NOT know he owned a firearm and had it with him in the van. Does BL legally own a gun? I recall reading about a gun case in the Mustang but cannot find it now.
Whatever the cause of death it must be obvious homicide for them to declare it so quickly.
All of these scenarios are horrific and depressing.

Between all of the accounts that have been reported on the MSM and linked and on these threads: the conversations with Moab, the 2 hitch hiking rides, the Victor, ID merchant, the Merry Piglet, it is MOO that this was an ongoing issue. MOO

I have often wondered about the flight home BL was suppose to take leaving GABBY stranded, did his parents talk him into going back? Was he done? Another thing is why the 2 hitch hiker stories and he went in a circle then back to van. Was he waiting for GABBY to die? Was she just hurt bad? The coward seems to run away all the time. I bet he’s close to mama

My beautiful home state seems to be the place many fugitives want to go. Jeffrey Easley, Tad Cummins, Oliver Locke, someone a few pages back mentioned another. Maybe it's because fugitives want to get as far away from the place where people are looking for them as possible? Or that the weather is usually nice?

Lol, the weather is nice in socal. Elsewhere, it's like a different micro-climate every few feet! :p

But seriously - why wouldn't someone from the East Coast take off for CA?. It's enormous, with tons of wilderness. You can do woods & mountains, or you can do oceans and all varieties of beaches. And Mexico is right there if you head for socal rather than northern spots.

FBI must have good reason to be ignoring Davis' sighting tip. All I can think is that they are confident that he was in the reserve and died there. If they thought he was still alive, it would still be "all hands on deck". I sure hope they are certain about this. jmo
Yes- really makes me wonder what in the heck FBI has/knows. I’ve felt so strongly BL’s alive- but am beginning to reconsider. If he was taken by a gator/gators, even his bones will be digested. Other “bits” completely decomposed in days from death. Either way, fugitive or dead, people will be speculating for decades. I don’t want to be 97 & see the documentary that shows the blank postcard with foreign mark from Sept 2021 sent to mom & dad- later found in some box from the Laundrie’s attic. Every once in a while an egotistic supervisor digs heels in to continue investigating in a direction that should’ve been long dropped. Sure hope that’s not the case here & that they really have something irrefutably compelling. Jmo

I didn’t know how late in the game I am until just now. I live in SE FL and I look at everyone’s hands now, looking for that finger leaf tattoo BL has. Now in one of these pictures I see JP has the same tattoo… then I google GP and tattoos and see she had a similar tattoo. I never saw that on GP’s hands in the body cams although I did notice his. Maybe because she wore a lot of rings so I just didn’t pick up on it. Not putting it out here for a topic of discussion but I do wonder the significance of that type of tattoo to those in the family, including BL……Things that make you go hmmmm.
Speaking of tattoos......
I posted this about tattoos in case you didn't see it and are interested.

Family of Gabby Petito reveal matching tattoos in her honour

The parents and step-parents of Gabby Petito have revealed that they all got matching tattoos in honour of their daughter this week.

Petito’s mother and father, Joseph Petitio and Nicole Schmidt, and their spouses Tara Petito and Jim Schmidt, showed off matching designs on their forearms at a press conference on Tuesday.

Mr Schmidt said: “These were tattoos that Gabby designed herself, she was an artist.”

The designs included a flower inside a triangle and a wave that Gabby had drawn and the words “Believe” and “Let it be” in cursive.

“Let it be” was a reference to the Beatles song of the same name that Petito is said to have loved, and Mr Schmidt incorporated its lyrics into his eulogy for Petito on Sunday.

Protesters outside Brian Laundrie's home cited for using loudspeaker
October 2, 2021 3:04pm

A speaker used to cajole the parents of Gabby Petito's fugitive boyfriend.

Protesters outside Brian Laundrie’s parents’ home were handed citations Saturday for being too loud.

The small group used a speaker to cajole the parents of Gabby Petito’s fugitive boyfriend.

“Come out here and answer America’s questions!” one of the half-dozen demonstrators camped out across the street from the Laundries’ North Port, Florida, home said through the speaker, according to a video posted by Fox News reporter Michael Ruiz.

Police handed out ordinances and explained that they can’t use a speaker but have a right to protest.
The noise is interfereing with the neighbors rights.
MOO the protestors should stop making noise. I don't think Gabby would appreciate hurting innocent people in her name.

I feel for the innocent neighbors, esp. the one going through chemo I however do not have any empathy for the Laundrie's they can end this all right now by turning in their son. All they have to do is go talk with FBI. It's that simple.

I doubt it would be that simple. They have spoken to the FBI and LE hasn’t given the public a thorough a accounting of what they said. MOO, there is such a feeding frenzy about all of this that it’s going to take a lot of time to set this to rest. Finding BL will bring on Even more of a deluge of Publicity, IMO.

We don't KNOW that he owned a firearm and had it in the van.....just a possibility/speculation. jmo

Gotcha.

I agree there's a pattern of him taking her phone, and van keys. Things could have escalated quickly. If someone took my phone, van keys and threatened to abandon me I would panic and try to retrieve them.
I wonder where he learned this controlling behavior? He treated Gabby like a child, not an adult. Like a cruel older brother rather than a loving partner.

I agree. I also look at the Moab stop and switch genders to give a new insight on their actions. I think its easy to have a gender bias no matter how hard we try to avoid it.
And yet, at the same time, there's usually an actual gender difference in how people speak and behave. I mean, nowhere but a sitcom is where you'd find a man hysterically crying and taking the blame and a woman fist-bumping about "crazy boyfriends, amirite?"

Frankly, if a man were acting like GP was, those cops would have been looking at the woman who was referring to her bf's "little blog" as some kind of cruel and dominating monster.

No problem! I went to bed early last night, but I got the alert. Target practice from someone else could be an option as well. But, I am leaning more towards he shot her. MOO
What appears to be blood next to the one bullet hole is very telling. I have not thought of them digging the bullets out! That could be why they are so large looking. I am thinking he did have one on the trip for self protection (you never know traveling like that) and it turned ugly. But that's just me! MOO

Petito’s death ruled a homicide, experts see Laundrie as abuser

Informative photos in this article.

A few firearm & ammo facts:
1) It would not be smart to target shoot in a Federal Park where it is prohibited. High probability of arrest.
2) If those are bullet holes… there are definitely projectiles within the wood that the FBI could recover
3) A 9mm bullet, 115 grain FMJ (Full Metal Jacket) will go through 2” of a 2x4 at 18 yards, clean hole punch (personal experience)
4) A .380 is usually 85 grain might penetrate the same 2” of 2x4 (speculation)
5) Hollow points generally do not penetrate plywood unless the ammo is LE grade hollow point (which civilians can buy, but it’s not common for them to do so.)
6) Hollow Point ammunition is legal for private citizens in Florida. Some citizens use it, some don’t.
7) FMJ ammo is usually used for target practice for economy. Hollow point ammo is about 2x the cost of FMJ and is not necessary for target shooting.

Speculation: That’s a hell of a lot of shots to murder one person, unless victim is running.

Possibly not. IF he planned this run and had a head start, he could have thrown together basic lightweight supplies to keep clean.

For context, when I travel solo, I do it with an 28L backpack (far smaller than rucksacks designed for camping) and I carry a portable washer for laundering and merino wool that never seems to smell. Just a thought. :)

Good tip!

Doesn't really state anything. That's a staged room for a realty photo. Most everything gets moved out of the room for those photos. Modest bedroom. Parents obvi never upgraded his bed from childhood, but doesn't really say much else.
Along those lines, that picture is from the home listing in 2017 when the Laundries purchased the home. All BL speculation based on that pic is speculation about the former owners. A gun someone else owned in room someone else lived in (coupled with a micro-second blurry Polaroid in a slideshow of GP holding something) has morphed into BL shooting her.
