I am not convinced as yet re suicide. WL. ..could be, maybe, maybe not.
    .
He looked mighty clumsy to me, and when that is combined with Brian's belief in his prowess as a man of the forest and all that, a sort of Dunning Kruger 'hiker', things of a particularly lethal nature can take place, trees fall on one, snakes bite one, sudden dips in terrain happen, water is particularly dangerous and lethal, while looking calm and receptive..

He could have simply died of fright while being confronted with one of those huge escaped Burmese pythons that roam freely in the Florida swamps..... I know I would have.

Truly, an alligator could live in any body of water large or small in eastern coastal plain of the U.S. I wouldn't stand too close to a ditch full of water anywhere south of Atlanta, and every swamp has alligators even parks like Mykkahatchi where they encourage camping and fishing. JMOO This story about a fatal attack during the flooding in Louisiana from Hurricane Ida in Septembet happened very close to downtown New Orleans. A woman saved her husband then went to seek help but the alligator attacked him again and must have dragged him under the water.
Louisiana man presumed dead in Ida floodwater alligator attack survived Hurricane Katrina, officials say

-We could include serial stalkers and domestic abusers into our sex offenders list. Look at England.
-We can include coercive control and consent as topics in required sex ed/health classes.
-We can update police training to ask more questions/probe differently when domestic violence is suspected. Did LEO in Moab even ask Gabby why Brian was locking her out of her own car? Or if this had happened before?
-This is not the end of the story!! Just because Brian is confirmed dead doesn't mean we can't still learn about his past actions and how they align with what we already know about DV!

THAT is exactly how I feel. If the Laundries had handled this like they should have, in my opinion, then when he came home without Gabby, they should have gotten the truth from him and called LE. They didn't. As a result, there are two young people dead now.

Yes. That included throwing C to the proverbial wolves to take the attention off of his client's timeline discrepancies. IMO.

One thing that really bothers me….and makes me question the finding of the body…..is WHY were not the Laundries escorted each by either FBI agents or LE.

They never should have been allowed to go search on their own. Coming across a loved ones body is awful in itself, then touching all the evidence found. The parents have no idea what to do in a crime scene especially after finding a body, their son. FBI dropped the ball on this one…even if the park was back open to the public, they still should have had the parents escorted..with at least 2 LE people. Then why did the parent split up? Especially if there are alligators, deadly snakes etc….they had no weapons to protect themselves…at least a LE could have shot a snake! I would have wanted to stay with my spouse while searching…dad walked right to the area…..oh dad knew imo. That’s why they did not stay together, they both knew. Why didn’t dad Yell for someone, they were not all that far apart from other LE people.….no he stops meets his wife and then carries out the evidence. What a fishy mess. I think imo, the parents aided BL with the suicide because they knew what he was going to do. What did any LE agency know? I am not only one asking these questions…moo on all of this.

I hope Gabby’s parents get some sort of closure…especially if BL left any type of note….his parents should share it with Gabby’s family. They probably want to protect their sons good name…..in their eyes. They are not thinking about others. Imo. I hope any tests come back with finger print answers so Gabby’s family knows who murdered their daughter for sure. Right now is just 99% speculation that the murderer is the suspect BL. moo

So I asked a few threads back if BL's parents get the reward. I wonder if legally they are entitled to it. Yeah, I'm aware they may not be thinking about the reward, but I am. I do wonder how that works.

You have always been an inspiration for me on these threads, and now I know a little more into the "why". I'm so glad you were able to turn it around.

Exactly, I think the CC fraud was a reason to bring him in while they sought evidence in Gabby's death. Doesn't mean that he wasn't a suspect because they only called him a POI.

I have no idea what he was thinking.

However, it definitely takes thought to set your belongings in one place then go to another place nearby in the uncomfortable, wet, and pretty icky location where you'd been hiding than it does to kill yourself right there with your stuff. So if he wasn't wearing the bag/pack and it was a self-inflicted death, then he was making some decisions and having some coherent thoughts

Me too! He’s not on tonight’s panel. I believe Brian murdered Gabby but John Walsh was overboard in my opinion. His questions to the coroner were odd at best.

Exactly, and they haven't come out and said there was another POI. Which leads me to believe he was the only one they thought committed the murder. He just never lived long enough to actually be called the suspect.

Are you sure re BBM? I remember that quote differently. He said that the media had basically butchered her replies, which the media then accepted. She herself was blazing that it had been intimated - via TV editing - that she was a liar

As for her going outside, she had so-called protesters yelling outside her home with her kids crying & as she said, they'd now found out awful news about Aunt Gabby from people screaming outside.

As for the rest of the details - I have no idea why they got their date wrong & it's not my job to defend them.
I just like to aim for some accuracy - less confusion is a good thing

I'll just leave sincere condolences to the Laundrie family here; their child is gone. I hope one day they will be able to genuinely and humbly offer condolences to Gabby's family. Such a horrible sad story.

Brian disappeared on 13th , until that date changes yet again.
Gabby was reported missing on 11th.
How could they have 'picked him up ' when her death had not even been reported at that stage.
    Also he had lawyered up.
I don't know whether BL suicided or not but if he did is that not the ultimate evasion?

I think Gabby and Brian loved each other to death. Whenever I see women, who do not have a solid group of female friends, and men, that do not have a solid base of male friends..........trouble................ love is just too intense.

I feel this is the root of all. Brian was not evil. Gabby was certainly not evil. Their relationship was just toxic....and at the end of the day, I feel this will be proven.

None of the parents deserved this pain or fame. And neither did Gabby. Brian went out of control, and he is the obvious blame game here.

That he pondered how to get out of , or around this was a mental game for sure.... for a couple of weeks.

But, at the end of the day, I still think that the final action of going to the Reserve to die, was because he really, truly could not live without her.
