I clicked the link and saw the picture and my first thought is….she’s missing and he’s out playing hide and go seek with LE…all while looking like George of the freaking jungle with no shoes. I just can’t. Someone find and arrest this clown. Tired of the games.

In this phone pic, the guy is taking a step forward with his left foot, and it looks like he "toes out" with that left foot. For those who are better than I at looking at videos, are there any of Brian walking that show his feet and does he "toe out" with his left foot in them? If he does, that's a distinct ID marker. I'll venture to add that his eyebrows are also rather distinctive.

I apologize I am not caught up…When did the “protesters” show up at his parents home? When did the public or police last see him? If you aren’t talking to police and “hiding out” (my words) do you just go out for a walk? That is a pretty small house. Bizarre!

I am trying to catch up, so my question is, Can LE upgrade the poi to a suspect to have more resources to find him unless they already have when I reach the last page of the last thread.

I am not a lawyer, however, I don't believe they have a crime to hold him on as a suspect. They don't have a location of GP and BL has not said boo.

LE have not seen him at all. Parents claim BL left on Tuesday. Protestors turned up at the house around 5 or 6pm on Friday.

Questions unanswered in Gabby Petito disappearance

Gabby’s mother, Nichole Schmidt, said they don’t believe the last text message they received from Gabby was actually from her. In it, it states that the couple is in Yosemite and that text messages would be tough because of the area.

It was received on Aug. 30.

You do the math,” Nichole Schmidt said Friday. “We know that she didn’t send it because he was home Sept. 1. They never went to Yosemite; they never had plans to go to Yosemite — so it’s obvious.”

North Port Police Public Information Officer Josh Taylor wondered about that as well during a short news conference Friday afternoon, noting driving from Yosemite to North Port in a day on one tank of gas was clearly unlikely.

I have been in Yellowstone and the Tetons each of the last 3 years. Most of the park does not have cell service (at least att or tmobile). What cell service there is, works better with voice than data, including SMS messages.

I also noted that the date would not be possible. However, I am curious if she may have sent it while not having a connection, and the Aug 30 is when the phone was connected to a cell tower again.

It could be that it was sent by BL to cover tracks, or GP's phone was in contact again with her message buffered (possibly when BL left for Florida). Not only does Yellowstone have no service, depending on the route, there could be little service for some time in Wyoming.

I would need to get to a no service area to check the effect for sure.

Finally got some sleep after last nights news.
I really expected some eyes on a person of interest to be honest.

Like the petito family said.

Brian is not missing, Brian is in hiding. Gabby is missing.

My thought is as i'm sure everyone's is. . . why didn't the famly report him 'missing' after 24 hours. Although an adult, the circumstances of GP's fall off the radar, wouldn't that prompt them to worry? Not if they knew exactly where he is hiding.

Second thought...he was so 'excitable' in that traffic stop, LE noticed it within minutes. How stable can he be at this point with all the pressure, i'm guessing mental exhaustion, etc. The mind is a crazy thing and for sure he's stressed. Hopefully he didn't do anything rash or to harm himself. But being a narcissistic (my opinion) , they think too much of themselves for that sort of behavior.

The TikToker texted her mother to say they’d picked up a hitchhiker.

If this had been while Brian was still in the car - “Look, you seem like a cool guy, so don’t take this personal, but I promised my mom I’d always text her if I picked up a hitchhiker!” kind of thing - and he realises he can’t hijack the car and get away with it, because someone else now knows, that could have been what made him panic and bail.

If he potentially thought that, through his actions, those two people in the car would be unable to ever tell the police or anyone else what he had told them, he’d have no qualms telling them all about the van trip, the days-long hike, Snake River and Gabby being out there, because it would have been the last thing they ever heard.

so true!!! i never understand the 'like' when you are sitting next to the person...
I get the impression GP was trying to be an influencer. As she said in the police cam she was building a website to start blogging. So the likes are more than likely just a show of support.

When you install and sign up with the Alltrails app it adds your location. I tried it with a VPN on using Costa Rica, because Puerto Rico is not an option for me. They're likely using Surfshark VPN that all of the popular vanlifers get paid to advertise, I don't use that. Anyway... The app now shows my location on my profile as Costa Rica. I have since changed my VPN to the US and it remains CR. So, probably when they registered with the app they had their VPN on and set to PR.
I have a Pro subscription with Alltrails that was purchased early this year. It shows my location as being in Kansas. I live in Pennsylvania and have never been anywhere near Kansas. I would not consider the location info on this app to be accurate.

not only a show of support, but also a matter of economy: The more likes, the more your post gets favoured by facebook/instagram/etc. algorithms, thus generating more exposure for your content.
