Very happy that the jury found Allen guilty! I am a little surprised because in the various live streams I had been watching throughout the trial, the crowd broke about 75% Not Guilty, 25% guilty. Congratulations to the jury and i hope the families of Abby and Libby can find some peace now.

Sure it will .. nothing to lose and it's pretty standard in any murder trial where there is a Guilty verdict.

Members need to know however that there must be legal grounds for appeal, (i.e. the judge made an error) so not just because they don't like the verdict.

Yup. Very stupid move. I believe the verdict would have come a lot faster had they continued to be involved (that interview would have been much more effective/perhaps more digital evidence).

Taking a moment here to thank the witnesses who came forward and identified BG, including Abby and Libby. Trapped RA by timestamps.

He remains a coward for all time.

My guess...it won't be approved for an appeal.

ITA, and iirc, the court does not have to provide their reasons. Someone may correct me on that (or if I get time I'll try to find legal source)

#NEW: Our@RussMcQuaidNews asked ISP. Supt. Doug Carter if he was proud of his guys when he was exiting the courthouse. Carter responded, “crazy about them.” However, he would not speak on the verdict or the trial.

Ahh, for some reason this cut straight to my core. Abby would have been 21 in June and we are just six weeks away from Libby’s 22nd ♥ So much was taken from these girls!!

I wonder if RA will confess and apologize now that this trial is over. The lying and pretending has obviously taken its toll on him. I wonder if he will just try again to find god and take accountability.

Of course, even if he did, there will now always be those who claim it was a fix/he’s lying to cover it up…

Just wondering if he’d find relief in giving up the lies. I don’t know for how long his family will support his appeals/denials—this way he could at least have clergy to comfort him.
