Both people were found dead of a gunshot wound at the scene. Police said both are victims of a homicide. Police also said they have heard the woman was possibly pregnant but that was not confirmed.

"You ever had your heart just stepped on and went to the bottom of your stomach, yeah that's what that was like," said Webster's brother Demarco Thomas.

This article conflicts with the one above stating the victims were discovered in a home.
When they arrived, the vehicle a couple was last seen in on Valentine’s Day in Ensley was found with a young man and woman both dead inside from what police said were gunshot wounds.

Here's another
The Birmingham Police Department said two people were found in the 4100 block of 10th Avenue in the Wylam community. Just before 4 p.m., detectives found a white Ford Taurus that matches a description of the car the couple was last seen in, finding two people inside the car.

“In your head, you’re thinking, ‘Oh, OK. Great,'” Wilson Clark said. “They arrested somebody, but then there’s so much more to that. We have to now walk this stuff out in real time, and not just our family, but many families. This is 18 people that they suspect that he has murdered. 18. 18 people.”

A family’s quest for justice is closer to coming to an end. Christian Norris and Angeliyah Webster were heading to a date on Valentine’s Day when they went missing. That was in February 2024.

On Wednesday, Damien McDaniel was charged with their murders. He’s also charged with killing 18 other people, including four in the September Five Points South mass shooting.
