I know PMI says 2022 or earlier, but hopefully they ruled-out this young woman who went missing from Palmdale on August 3, 2023:

I think Shavana could make an interesting match. Her last SM activity was in July of last year. This would fit with the UID's estimated Year of Death of 2000-2022.

I also sent Shavana as a possible match to this UID over to Allison O'Neal at NamUs/RTI. Hope it gets looked into or gets ruled out. I hope this UID gets their name back ASAP.

Here is the link to the LA County ME's file for this UID. I would agree that this UID is likely a female of African American or Hispanic (possibly both) descent but when posting the NamUs listing here I was being a bit cautious. Weight was listed as 37 lbs while NamUs mentions cannot Estimate. This would likely fit as partial skeletal remains.
