ngl, I found Sepulveda Jane Doe when I was looking for updates on Van Nuys Jane Doe 53; she was found thirteen months earlier in the same area (in the thick underbrush around the Hjelte Sports Center in the Sepulveda Dam basin area along Burbank Boulevard).

I'm not suggesting there's a connection between the cases -LA is one the world's largest cities, meaning there must be hundreds, if not thousands, of different killers there in the late 80's. They just happened to end up Jane Does, killed and dumped close to each other, little over a year apart, and still remaining Jane Does several decades later.

MP38824 Jennifer Lynn Vallandingham went missing from Santa Ana, CA on 9/28/1988 after having been arrested with an acquaintance and subsequently released that day. She failed to show up to court the following day. Jennifer was 29 years old and 5’5” weighing 130lbs with brown hair and green eyes. She has a bunch of identifiers, but curiously none that would have been noticeable on the partial remains with soft tissues that were found. The head, torso, one or more limbs, and one or both hands were not recovered. You can take the 405 directly from Santa Ana for about 60+/- miles up to Sepulveda (now known as North Hills). I wonder if her acquaintance showed up for court the following day?
