Just to confirm, you asked about UP72085? Sometimes i get the two willmington does confused,so im just double checking
Can confirm I asked about UP72085 (I actually didn't know there was another Doe in that area, not super familiar with SoCal Doe's)

Unfortunately I have a suspicion this Doe was cremated hence the lack of DNA - I did submit the tip to the Norfolk police department as well incase they manage to find Darren's dentals.

This is more than a bit of a long shot, but I was browsing missing young men from California around the discovery of Wilmington John Doe.

I came across this person: The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)

I did a search for Daniel Lee Sullivan in Sunnyvale, CA, on Ancestry. I found this picture in the 1971 Sunnyvale’s Fremont High School yearbook.

There’s no mole that I can see in the picture, but it’s possible it just isn’t visible. There is definitely a resemblance.

The body was discovered on april 22 however Timothy went missing on april 23..
Is there a newspaper article to corroborate his date of disappearance? Sometimes these old MP cases can have dates skewed a bit, is all. One day could make all the difference.

Quoting from another thread. Credit to @Caring1

UID found 4/22/73 in Wilmington, CA. Brown hair and eyes, plus height, weight and age all within range.

Quite a distance between the 2 California cities but maybe he took off to the city. This unidentified male is believed to be a Randy Kraft victim.

Sorry just saw this post now. Did you submit this? I think this is a strong possibility.especially given the “circumstances of his disappearance”

If he was at home possibly LGBTQ then maybe they assumed he went to be who he truly was. Only to never hear from him again?

Yes, yes. If not already submitted, this needs to be! Now I feel more confident that these two need to be compared.

What's standing out to me re this Doe, is the comparison to the black and white drawing. The viewer's focus might be on the mole, but IMO, the artist made a concerted effort to express those earlobes, and the upturned nose. And especially the nose and its closeness and trajectory from the upper lip. It'd be exagerrated by the autopsy positioning of the neck, but I think in his natural posture, the boy still had an uplifted profile.

Even without a profile shot of Daniel, I can see how his earlobes might swoop forward and down. Nose and chin don't translate as well from the front, but the thin lips match.

Hi @basperson and Welcome to Websleuths!
