Draper was 27 years old when he was last seen being dropped off on the road by the Health Center on the Salteaux First Nation in Saskatchewan between 8 and 8:30am on February 21st, 2006. He had just left his job at the Maple Leaf Food plant. He was last seen walking into a nearby convenience store. He was planning to head home to Witchekan First Nation but never arrived there.

In 2017 an inmate in Saskatchewan falsely claimed that he was responsible for Draper's disappearance. He was charged with criminal mischief for the lie. Another unknown person attempted to extort money from Draper's family in 2014 while pretending to be him. His family believes he met with foul play. He remains missing.
