It’s been just over 12 years since Fred Yellow Old Woman vanished without a trace from a Kamloops residence.According to police, he was staying at a friend’s house in the 600 block of Shuswap Road on June 14, 2011, and he went to bed at 10:30 pm that night.
Around 5:30 am the following morning, others in the house woke up to find the front door open and Fred gone, while his glasses and wallet were left behind.
He was 54 years old at the time and would be 66 years old today.''
“Despite search efforts which included the assistance of search and rescue teams, the Police Dog Service Unit and Air Services, Fred remains missing and many questions are still unanswered,” said Cst. David Dixon.
“We are again releasing an image of Fred Yellow Old Woman to remind the public that the search for him continues and anyone that may have information that could be related to this investigation is asked to please contact police.”
''At the time of his disappearance, Fred was described as a 5’11” First Nations man around 200 lbs with dark black hair, which was short on the sides and collar-length at the back.
He had brown eyes and ‘F’ tattooed on his left thumb. Fred was last seen wearing a red muscle shirt and black cut-off shorts.
