''KAMLOOPS - Police in Kamloops, B.C., say human remains were found in a burned out vehicle on a road north of the city on Saturday.
Mounties say the Tk’emlups Rural RCMP responded to a reported vehicle fire on Tranquille-Criss Creek Road, where they found a burned black 2019 Volkswagen Golf that they believe was stolen.
They say officers found human remains inside the car, and the region’s major crime unit is now investigating the suspicious death.''

''While the Mounties aren’t able to provide a lot of details at this point, they are investigating the discovery of a dead body in a burned-out vehicle which does appear to have the hallmarks of a gang-related killing.

The Southeast Major Crimes Unit has confirmed the discovery of the body in the burned-out remains of a stolen car at some point Saturday along the road leading to the slot canyons northwest of Kamloops and all the way into Bonaparte Provincial Park.

RCMP have not indicated where along the Tranquille-Criss Creek Road stretch the stolen, black 2019 VW Golf was discovered.''

''Police are now investigating the disappearance of a 25-year-old Kamloops man as suspicious — and they're looking into whether it's connected to human remains inside a burned vehicle found on a rural road the day after he disappeared.

Mounties said Dillen Bain was last seen on Aug. 22. Investigators are now working to determine the circumstances leading to his disappearance.

While the identity of the body recovered in a vehicle fire on Aug. 23 on Tranquille-Criss Creek Road has not yet been confirmed, Mounties and the BC Coroners Service are looking into possible connections.''
