Woman dies after being found critically injured inside vehicle in west end, homicide unit investigating

The Toronto police homicide unit is investigating the death of a woman in her 20s who was found injured inside a vehicle in the west end on Friday evening. No suspect information has been released.

''The Toronto police homicide unit is investigating the death of a woman in her 20s who was found injured inside a vehicle in the west end on Friday evening.

Police said they got a “see ambulance” call just before 6 p.m. in the area of Glenlake and High Park Avenues, north of Bloor Street West.

Duty Insp. Errol Watson told reporters that officers arrived and found a woman with injuries inside a vehicle.

According to Toronto paramedics, the woman was suffering from critical injuries. Watson said the woman was pronounced dead in the hospital. The woman’s identity has not been released.''

Woman's death near High Park being probed as homicide: Cops

Cops say a woman who was found with injuries near High Park on Friday has died.

Watson said officers are canvassing the area for video footage and speaking with residents.

Toronto police identify 21-year-old woman killed in High Park area homicide

Toronto police have now identified the victim of a homicide that took place in the city’s west end early Friday evening.

21-year-old Serenity Brown identified as Toronto's 30th homicide victim of the year on Saturday September 6, 2025 (TPS photo).

The attacker, Trinel Thornhill, is said to be known to Serenity, although there is quite an age gap and the nature of their relationship hasn't been stated.
Serenity's mother said she was battling substance abuse and may have been in an abusive relationship.

Man charged with second-degree murder in death of woman near High Park

The 48-year-old man, identified as Trinel Thornhill, was arrested on Monday and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday morning.
