A Toronto man is facing charges after a 92-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in her home

Police are concerned there could be more victims following the attack in the city earlier this month.

''Toronto police have arrested and charged a man after a 92-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in her home.

Kelvin Chan, 58, of Toronto, has been charged with sexual assault and unlawfully being in a dwelling-house in connection to the attack that happened earlier this month.

It is alleged that, on April 1, the woman was inside her residence on in Toronto’s College Street West and Clinton Street area.

Police said a man entered the woman’s unit and, once inside, sexually assaulted her. He then fled from the residence.

Police received a call about the assault two days later, on April 3.

Chan was scheduled to appear in court, at Old City Hall, on April 14.

Police are concerned that there could be more victims.

The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of an arrest made in a Sexual Assault investigation.
On Monday, April 3, 2023, at 3:15 p.m., police received a call for a Sexual Assault in the College Street West and Clinton Street area.
It is alleged that:

• on Saturday, April 1, 2023, a 92-year-old woman was inside her residence
• a man entered the woman's unit
• once inside, the man sexually assaulted the woman
• the man fled from the residence

On Thursday, April 13, 2023, at 4:15 p.m., Kelvin Chan, 58, of Toronto, was arrested. He has been charged with:

1. Unlawfully in a dwelling-house
2. Sexual Assault

He was scheduled to appear in court on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 10 a.m., at Old City Hall, 60 Queen Street West, room 111.
Police are concerned there may be more victims.''
