MI Dennis Bowman, Western Michigan, 1970's to 2012

Although this case has been closed with the belief by LE that one David Oudemolen was the killer, I wonder if DEnnis Bowman might have been involved or perhaps the actual killer. Debra was killed in Bowman's home town and the manner of her murder is similar to that of Kathleen O'Brien Doyle (1980).

Debra Lynn Wilson, age 30
Murdered 23 December 1987

Debra was last seen by relatives around 8 p.m. on the evening of December 23, 1987 in Zeeland, Ottawa County, MI. Her husband, Rock, who was working second shift at Sintered Metal Products in Zeeland, called her and told her he was going to a Christmas party after work. When he arrived home he found all of the lights on in the house and an open sliding door that led to the back yard. He called his father, Hardee Wilson, to help search and eventually Rock found Debra’s body fully clothed next to a trailer about 120 feet from their house at about 5:30 a.m., December 24, 1987. There were no signs of forced entry, and police said they could not determine if she had been forced or carried to the location where her body was found. Neither robbery nor sexual assault appeared to be a motive.

Ottawa County Sheriff Gary Rosema indicated in a Dec. 2016 interview that the case had been solved, that Mrs. Wilson’s killer was David Oudemolen, and that Oudemolen died before he could be charged.

Interesting how you mention that DB may have been involved together with someone else. I read once part of finding serial killers is focusing on whom their friends and assistants might be.

Does anyone have any background info on Dennis Bowman's childhood?

I have a strange feeling Dennis Bowman has something to do with the disappearance of a Michelle Amy Lokker. She disappeared in the Allegan State Game Forest which is LITERALLY around the corner from Hamilton. Right by where Dennis Bowman lived. Everything about her case is strange. And just like when everyone stopped actively looking for Aundria, (Until her Biological mother persisted thankfully 💪🏻), the same unfortunate thing is happening for Chelle. No one is actively looking for her.

I live near the area and actually Kayak and fish that specific area, she happened to dissappear from. She also went missing on my birthday and I actually want to go out and start to make an effort to try and locate Michelle since Allegan PD is doing nothing for her. I will definitely keep posting on here!

Michelle Lokker has her own thread in the Missing but Not Forgotten section of Websleuths.

Bowman should indeed be considered as a possible suspect in her disappearance.

I brought up Michelle Lokker to Chris Haverdink back in 2013 the first time that Cathy and I met with him. His response at the time was that he had a pretty good idea of who was responsible for her disappearance.

Apparently, they know a lot more about her case than what is public information.

Bowman was convicted of the 1980 murder of Kathleen O'Brien Doyle in Virginia and later of the 1989 murder of his adopted Daughter Aundria in Michigan. Nine years between those two murders, followed by some 30 more years before he was arrested, tried and convicted.

He is certainly a serial killer. How many other victims were there?

Bowman is a monster. If the police had listened to Aundria's mother sooner maybe he could have been off the streets faster. I think his wife knows more than she is saying.
