'David Benoit was driving his taxi on the night of Sept. 6, 1992, when he was shot and robbed.

His body was found the next morning in a field in the area of Market Street and Evans Avenue in Fort Myers.

His taxi was found a block away, and his personal vehicle was stolen from the taxi company parking lot but was later found abandoned on Interstate 75.''
