A 23-year-old man in Florida was arrested last week for allegedly killing his girlfriend’s 1-year-old daughter, beating the child so severely that her body was bruised “from head to toe,” in what ER doctors described as “the worst case they’d ever seen.” Jacob Randall Robison was taken into custody on Thursday and charged with one count of second-degree murder in the toddler’s death, court documents reviewed by Law&Crime show.

According to a probable cause affidavit, deputies with the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) at about 11:09 p.m. on the night of July 12 responded to a call from the victim’s mother who said her 1-year-old daughter was “not breathing and turning blue.” She advised the dispatcher that she was pulling into the Dollar General store in the 1400 block of Shadeville Road, which is about 20 miles south of Tallahassee, Florida.

Upon arriving at the scene, first responders say they found the mother — identified in court documents as “Skyler” — in the parking lot crying and clutching her daughter to her chest while pleading for help. Two deputies attempted life-saving measures with an AED and chest compressions, but said the little girl was covered in bruises and “completely unresponsive.” Wakulla County Fire Rescue paramedics arrived and transported the child to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital where medical staff in the emergency room pronounced her dead.

Detectives at the hospital noted that the victim had “significant bruising to her jawline, chest, and buttocks” as well as additional bruising “from head to toe,” saying it appeared the toddler “had been beaten to death.”

The document stated that Robison and the toddler’s mother lived in a shed just behind Robison’s mother and stepfather’s home in Crawfordville.

When the toddler’s mother arrived home just after 10 p.m., she reportedly took a shower, ate dinner and then entered the shed where she was living.

Robison’s family told deputies that he was recently arrested for child abuse and had anger management issues, according to the report.

WCTV confirmed with Lt. Jeff Yarbrough that the agency arrested Robinson on April 9th for child abuse. That case involves a different child than the one-year-old.

Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office spokesman LT Jeff Yarbrough also confirmed that Robison was arrested earlier this year on April 9 on child abuse charges.

Arrest reports show Robison and a woman were both accused of child abuse for engaging in a physical confrontation while holding a child.

The child who died this week and that child’s mother, Fuchs stressed, are not the same as the woman and child involved in the April incident.

So, your son is a woman and child beater, and you clearly know it if you are telling reporters about his previous instances of DV anc CA, by all means, why not let him live behind your house in a literal shed with no plumbing with a female and her toddler, that should go well  WTH is wrong with this family?

I hope the baby's mom didn't know about his previous abusive behavior toward another female and child prior to deciding to move into this shed with her baby, and letting this knight in shining armor babysit her child while she went to work. :(

This poor baby! Bruising takes time to show up. Did he beat this baby beforehand and the mother knew? Living in a shed, how could she not know?

What the what? Boyfriend texts mom to say her child “was fighting sleep and fell off the bed” yet she comes home from work, showers and eats *before* going to the shed?

According to the arrest warrant, the toddler’s mom was at work while Robison was watching the one-year-old girl on Wednesday. The toddler’s mom went into work at 4 p.m..

Robison and the toddler’s mom had a text exchange throughout the evening.

Around 9 p.m., Robison allegedly claimed in a text to the mom that the toddler was fighting sleep and fell off the bed. Robison allegedly said, “So if she has another knot on her head yk [you know] why.”

He sent another message that stated, “She hit hard so I’m sure there will be.”

When the toddler’s mother arrived home just after 10 p.m., she reportedly took a shower, ate dinner and then entered the shed where she was living.

I’d like to see all the texts between them that night.

It seems to me that the baby’s mother took her out of the shed and drove away before calling 911 in order to shield the boyfriend, maybe even to give him time to run.

I hope I’m wrong but his text referred to “another” knot on the baby’s head which implies there was ongoing abuse. The mother must have been aware and the fact that she didn’t immediately check on the baby says abuse had become the norm in the relationship.

This piece of human waste deserves the maximum punishment. Florida’s a grand jury state which means a true bill is required for bringing first degree murder charges. Maybe we’ll see upgraded charges in this case. IMO a full grown adult who beats a child to death clearly understands what they’re doing.

And mom shouldn’t skate either if she ignored past abuse. I’m so angry, it’s like Tegan Skiba’s case all over again; the more things change the more they stay the same.

All MOO

search warrant. Shed? Cell phone data? they already have some damning texts. Curious me.

IMHO This was a recipe for disaster from the beginning. I hesitate to classify anyone as human when they clearly behave like a feral animal. What could this innocent little one year old child have done to be beaten to death by this big angry looking oaf? Absolutely nothing. Here is another one with a door in hell with his name on it. Crimes like this make me truly wonder if we all really do have souls. RIP little one.
