I may be wrong but wasn't the lawyer hired to prosecute Baldwin actually a defense attorney?

Kari Morrissey, 'special prosecutor' in this case, she was mostly known for being a criminal defence attorney. IMO her conduct on this case re the revelation about disregarding evidence did her career and reputation no favour. MOO

Hopefully, she'll be forced to find a new career path. The damage to her reputation and the high cost of any movie company to employ her should be enough to prevent her putting others at risk.

Hopefully a career where she won’t be handling firearms.

Judge dismisses lawsuit filed by Alec Baldwin for malicious prosecution in fatal 'Rust' set shooting

A judge last summer dismissed a charge of involuntary manslaughter against Baldwin in the 2021 death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

I watched the most excellent "Nobody 2" the other night. This is of relevance to the discussion here; that gun he has there is an Airsoft 1911. The dead giveaway is the bottom of the magazine; the circular area is where the co2 capsule goes and the bit ahead of it with the two grub screws is the magazine for the 6mm plastic balls.

Quite an obvious error to make on the part of the director. It does show that real firearm use in movies is diminishing.

It's great news that use of real weapons in tv and moviemaking is dimishing. It means a safe set for everyone.
