On the morning of August 4th 2025, a body of a 23 year old French national was found dead in a dried canal outside of Siem Reap, Cambodia. She was training for her 21km marathon run. Authorities claimed she died of a heart attack but questions still remain. How did her body end up in a canal? Was she pushed? Or murdered?

Police said there were no wounds or any signs of foul play. Her items including her phone were found near her and her clothes were undisturbed. Lisa's body has already been handed to the French Embassy.

There's definitely some motivation to cover up the truths of her case because of a very recent border conflict with Thailand. Say it wasn't a murder so tourists wouldn't feel scared to vacay there.

Where she was last seen according to a friend:
- On August 2nd at 7.20 AM, she was close to Ta Som Temple, Siem Reap, Cambodia. Lisa wore a blue t-shirt with 'Cambodia' written on it, the shirt also featured a Cambodian flag. She had her hair pulled back in a braid with a running band.

Where she was last seen according to locals and witnesses:
- She was seen running/walking pass a café near Sras Srang Lake at 7 AM (August 2)
- She was seen near the Old Route 60 ticket booth at around 7.50 AM (August 2)

Exact location of where her body was found: dry canal outside of Siem Reap, in the Tasom commune of Angkor Chum district.

I could be reaching here by suggesting it could be a murder case. I don't live in Siem Reap so it's hard for me to do the location inspection for myself.

Not sure if there are many Cambodians on this site but would really love to chat with someone who feels the same way as I do or would challenge my suspicions.
