Karen Read has been charged with second-degree murder, motor vehicle manslaughter and leaving the scene of a collision in the January 2022 death of her off-duty Boston Police Officer boyfriend John O'Keefe outside a Canton, Mass., home.

She's pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Leading up to his death, the couple of two years reportedly spent the night drinking and bar hopping with friends before Read, 43, dropped O'Keefe, 46, off at the home of a fellow off-duty police officer for an after-party, PEOPLE previously reported.

Prosecutors say as O'Keefe exited the vehicle, Read allegedly proceeded to make a three-point turn during a winter storm, striking her boyfriend in the process before driving off.

After O'Keefe failed to return home hours later, Read allegedly went looking for him, before finding his body in a snowbank outside the home where she allegedly left him.

Aidan Kearney, aka Turtleboy held back nothing…..his usual MO…moo. We might just get some answers yet! He actually calls out the McCabes and Alberts for being the murderers!

ETA: correct name
That was interesting. I only know if Aidan/TB from this board. I never read, listened, or even knew what he looked like. He was not what I was expecting. I thought very young, lives in his mother’s basement type. He was pretty well spoken. It almost seemed like he’s daring the house gang to go after him, like maybe sue him.

If you could sue did dogs civilly, you could probably get a balance of probability against Chole\Clara as injuring John O'Keefe.

Yes! Acquitted except for the DUI which she admitted she had too much.

This was the right result.

Proctor's 20/20 and Dateline serve 2 purposes. 😡

1. Damage control.
2. Infiltrating the minds of future jury members for the civil case.

Thanks to all that have posted during the trial! ❤️ ❤️

Thanks for helping me navigate some of the things I didn't know when I first jumped into the discussion! I am not sure what I will do tomorrow... but it won't be watching the dang ceiling fan haha

Still hoping some of the jurors will come forward in the coming days!

What do you all think is the first thing they asked or wanted to know? LOL

I would be looking to see who 'the other agency' is .. Dever's may have helped them figure it out, but I would want confirmation lol Oh, and I would probably google Michael Proctor!

I want the people responsible for JOK beating death held responsible. I hope there is further investigation and people are charged.

What a travesty. I'm extremely sorry for John's family and friends, the pain in knowing that she got away with throwing an enraged and drunken tantrum with a 4,000 lb vehicle killing their loved one. The evidence was clearly there to convict on Manslaughter while Driving Intoxicated and Leaving the Scene. Too bad the jurors were either unable to see the truth beyond the falsehoods, the hype and the false celebrity or too scared by the probable repercussions from her adoring fans. This is ALL just my opinion.

I don’t know the terms for her probation but if I were KR, I would take at least a couple weeks vacation at a beach w/out devices/social media. Then, I would move out of that state and start fresh. What a nightmare she has been through. I wish her much health, happiness and healing. Just as important, I pray that there is some courageous LE who takes the reins and gets justice for John O’Keefe.

Me, too. I think it will take some LE recently retired (now living elsewhere) with no pension to lose to blow the whistle- with the help of someone at the DA, a highly regarded investigative reporter and maybe a political candidate.

Does anybody think Hank threw the trial towards the end (with the defense expert), or just me?

Something seemed to change with him… I think!

Regardless, the verdict is so good.

A little study on the distances involved: Both are 34 Fairview from Google Earth...I have measured many distances on GE and found it to be pretty accurate where the lighting was good. So two measurements shown: from the curb to the edge of the house and from the curb to the far side of the house. 57 feet and 85 feet more or less. Somewhere in testimony the 56 steps where attributed to the distance between the Lexus and the front door and represented about 87 feet.

I indicate on the second view the approximate location of the flag pole (oval) and the mail box (arrow). The latter is quite close to the curb as can be seen in some of the real estate photos.

I have never entirely bought into the scuffle between the cops theory but it has always been apparent that an animal was involved in roughing up JOK. This is not entirely original, but could JOK headed for the gate to the back yard, either because he heard something or was goaded into going that direction, got attacked by "the" animal, and fallen into the bulkhead opening? 3 rough concrete walls form the perimeter of that stairwell, each has a rough edge. He would have ended up at the bottom of those outdoor steps, possibly even blocking the interior door e/e of the basement adjoining. And thereafter bled all over wood steps, concrete lintel and profiled man door.... In all of that, there may have been no immediate contact between JOK and any other person.

Just a theory. MOO

How so? Honestly I was so tired of listening to his tone that I tuned out when he was crossX ing defense witnesses the last couple of days.
