My first thought is an accident involving water. Woolwich is almost surrounded by water, including the Kennebec River and 2 others.

I agree with an accident involving water; But I also wonder if she has any contacts in Missouri, or if the license plate is a red herring?

I couldn't find any records, public, civil, or criminal for her in Missouri - there is someone by that name in the system but that person is 33 years old, and resides in Arkansas with family in MO.

I'm wondering if she had purchased the vehicle and hadn't gotten around to changingi the plates?

In Maine there are so many nooks and crannies that make it supremely difficult to search. Although Woolwich is more urban than other parts of Maine, the coastal waters add an extra obstacle for investigators. I hope she is found soon

According to online records, she used to reside in Missouri. Her friends from both places are appealing for her to be found.

Woolwich is not urban at all, although it is close to Bath, which is a small city... It is not right on the coast either - it is a peninsula - surrounded by rivers, not the ocean. The population was a little over 3,000 in 2020.
