''KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The mother of a victim of a 2018 cold case murder asked community members to come forward with tips to help find her son’s killer.
Lisa Ford hosted a press conference Tuesday morning in Kalamazoo regarding her son’s cold case.
Marcus Ford was sitting in a vehicle in the driveway of a home on Douglass Street when someone approached, shot and eventually killed him back in November 2018.
Lisa is asking anyone with information to come forward and contact the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.''
Police ID victim killed in Kalamazoo double shooting
Marcus Ford was killed in a Nov. 17 homicide in Kalamazoo.
''Marcus Kyle Ford, 32, of Kalamazoo, died in a shooting around 1:40 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, in the area of Douglas Avenue and West North Street, according to Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Sgt. Charles Treppa.
Officers responding to the shooting found two parked vehicles in the area, both unoccupied. One vehicle had a bullet hole in it.''
''Police soon after located Ford about two blocks away with a gunshot wound to the chest. Then they received a call about a second victim in the 1200 block of Jefferson Avenue.''
Police said Ford died at the hospital and the second person was treated and released for minor injuries.
