Remains Found: Missouri River Boone County, MO
On June 15, 2015, the Missouri State Highway Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control recovered an unidentified body from the Missouri River at the 154.5 mile marker near Hartsburg, Boone County, Missouri. The body was in an advanced state of decomposition. An autopsy revealed the remains were those of a white male, approximately 5' 11”, 138 pounds and of medium to large build. The autopsy further revealed the victim had missing and broken teeth (see diagram below). The only items of clothing on the body at the time of recovery were the following: 1 black ankle sock (right foot). 1 black/green/white Asics athletic shoe (size 11.5) on right foot (see photograph below). DNA profiling is currently underway, but all other attempts to identify the remains have been unsuccessful.
