Found Deceased MS - Robert Hargrove, 42, missing after a car crash, Columbus, 29 Sept 2023

Columbus Police are asking for assistance in locating a missing person that was involved in a one-vehicle accident this weekend in Columbus.

According to Columbus Police Chief Joseph Daughtry, 42-year-old Robert Hargrove wrecked his car on Friday, September 29, 2023.

Columbus Police found the car at 15th Street South and Pickensville Road. No one was with the car.

“This is a strange case,” Chief Daughtry said Sunday.

“We had a one-car accident and no victim,” the Chief added. “We went to his house and he was not there. We don’t know if someone gave him a ride helped him. He’s been reported as a missing person and we ask anyone that has seen him or knows anything to contact Columbus Police. “

It’s amazing that the lake wasn’t searched until now. Perhaps too costly to do unless there is reason to believe he was in there. It is right next to the crash site.
